  1. thanks, unfortunetly also im not positive but i think that this DZ is the only one that i will be able to jump at......i cant find anymore local ones......its approx. 30 min. away from me.......we have a small airport here but they dont have skydiving (i dont think)
  2. Hey everybody, ive been on the forums just reading for about a month now and i decided to finally sign up ;)........im 17 years old and live in SE Texas.....i just got a job and im thinking I might use my hard earned money for skydiving lessons. And i only have a couple problems...lol........ im slightly afraid of heights.....no big deal really....just a brain thing that i can get over......but im afraid im gonna end up paying up......then get up there and wimp out........ also what do yall recommend that I do??? what type of lessons should i take..........from what i have read i understand there to be 2 types..........static line, and the other where you freefall with the teachers....or is that the same course???........also should i pay everything up front?.....my local skydiving place has a web site that shows the entire course can be taken for 1,150.....which is the 5 static line and the 10 freefalls.....if you dont do that its 269 for the ground lessons and the first jump then 95 each for the rest of them........ anyways, none of this might not even make any since or even form as a question but to simplify it all im kinda interested in skydiving and I do know what i need to do or if my local DZ even accepts minors... my alternative to skydiving is a dune buggy or fixing up my truck ;) :) ;)
