Why isn't there an AAD with adjustable firing altitude?
piisfish replied to tsf's topic in Safety and Training
Every model of Cypres, and Vigil have allowed people to do this already. Please read the manuals and understand how your equipment works before jumping or simply guessing at this stuff. actually it is/was not exactly a "increase firing altitude", but offsetting for a different landing altitude... scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -

well if you have interest in your gear, think about technically what would you have to do to change the battery. Once you think you have the answer, evaluate if you have the skills and authority to do it. Then go to your rigger and ask him if you can do it with him. The cheapest way to do it would be to have the same rigger that did your last packjob do it with you. Many thanks to all for the kind messages. We have just ended the start of our new life, and are pretty overwhelmed with all the love :-) Erin Mathilda did arrive a bit earlier than scheduled, so she then took her time in labour room. I already love her too much and am sooooo proud of everything she does. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

No one likes a bragger. Not even a tongue-in-check bragger?

the only things that bother me (despite all the "good actions"), is the time wasted on trying to save the reserve handle, and the apparent lack of trying to cutaway the main after the reserve was properly deployed. Besides that yes he did look very calm given the very scary situation. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

What makes you think that it is the static electricity that would make it freeze ? To the OP, if I find people who want to purchase your unit, I will let you know

Project for Backpack-Wingpack / Backpack-Airplane
piisfish replied to team_skyflash's topic in Wing Suit Flying
If somebody is not pessimistic here, but realist, it would be Brokky. He has been around the sport for very long and has seen lots of the developments of variations of skydiving. Also he has been following rather closely the evolution of the jetman project, even way before the jetwing existed he also has witnessed jumps on some crazy weird shaped stuff Yves has used. Plus he did give the Wingpack project guys the best advice ever : play safe -
Very nice work indeed scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Nice hair. Almost the same as One Direction scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -
The beard was expected because of the boat, à la Hemingway (not Bill Booth style ) Baby still expected for next week, not before hopefully Normiss is indeed very out of the loop. I even heard that a greenie lady was aware of it Now back to the subject. Is it my computer or is it YouTube ? It seems the Skydive Perris video is kind of corrupted, bugs at the middle. Can anybody confirm ? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
