Go down to Venice (south about 45 mins or so) for shelling and sharks teeth...there's some great restaurants for food & livations and the sunsets are spectacular...there's also some great antique stores in the village. Around and about Sarasota, I second Siesta Key. There's also Coquina Key, nice beach...right next door is Holmes Beach and they have a quaint little village...ice cream shops, antiques and such. Anna Maria and Sanibel are great. There's the Ringling Museum and the mansion. There's some plantations you can visit. If you come north on I75, you can go across the Sunshine Skyway and visit Fort DeSoto....nice park, beaches and lots of history. Just off of Fort DeSoto, there's Treasure Island Beach in very south St. Pete Beach...plenty to do and eat there, too.

just like riggers that haven't packed anything for years, but the seal continues to be used...i know of a few of those...

The examiner lets you pick if you pick your ass, it's personal

it's your symbol and assigned through the FAA...supposedly you keep it until you die. I know riggers that haven't practiced in years but still have the same seal. Why would you want to give up your seal, anyway?

I'm with you Huk...mine fell apart. I've not been real impressed with my Michigan, either. My next jumpsuit will be self built here at the loft...if I can make costumes, I can manage a jumpsuit, as well.

AMEN!!! I always encourage econo shopping. Why pay full price for anything fresh from the manufacturer when you can get it at least half off used? Being a rigger and econo shopping queen, I always manage to broker good deals which amazes my friends. Kaye

Anyone taken their Masters recently? If so, could you drop me a PM...I've got some questions. Thanks, Kaye

I'm actually rooting for Julia, the Waffle House Queen...she's shined all their asses several times over.

you might want to get your rigger to get some batteries from ssk so that you'll have some in "reserve"...they're like $75 a set. send me a pm with some measurement for teddy...i think i can come up with a rig for teddy to hold the cypres (which i have one expired here, also)...this could be fun. later, kaye

love the creativity...my corona is raised to your ability!

When I was a little girl, we had a cat that had a knack for sniffing out the bunny nests. Every evening there would be a brown streak with a white streak following close behind. We'd scoop the cat up, catch the bunnies and take them back to the vacinity they came from.

What happened to your T-back photo....LOL! You looked like you were enjoying some summer weather...LOL!

Remind me to never invite you home after the DZ!

Is there anything besides "sweet tea"... I hate when I go to a restaurant and they don't serve sweet tea!!! Sonny's BarBQ serves the best sweet tea...ummm. Yes, I've only got one "winter coat" and it's denim. Yes, I've worn shorts on Christmas with the AC running. Flip Flops are everyday wear. And sandals are my work shoes. I do have a drawer full of bathing suits, but also a drawer full of sweatshirts (for those evenings when it dips below 70). Can you pronounce Thonotosassa? Means land of flint. Orange juice from concentrate is disgusting. Flamingos are pink from the brine shrimp they eat. Yep, 20+ years in Florida, I'm a transplant and love it.

Mice are vermin, not rabbits...my bunnies took great offense to your statement.... I've got two sweet little babies that you just have to make sure they have something fun to play with, chew and enjoy...pine cones are one of their favorites.

Shari, That's pretty funny that your parents were pissed. I got mine (I've got 2...one small rose on my ankle and a large one on my hip) when I was 25. The one large one is on my hip, so not many people see it these days...can't remember the last time I was at the beach, since I started skydiving. Anyway, the reason I responded to you, Shari. I was visiting my mom and she walks in on me as I'm getting out of the shower and went balistic...immediately started spouting that I was going to have it removed, blah, blah, blah... I looked here square in the face and said, "I'm an adult, I paid for it out of my own money and I don't regret doing it." I looked for a tattoo artist for 7 years to see what I wanted as I saw it in my mind. The night I found the guy that saw it as I did (he drew it on a bar napkin just like that), we left the bar (we both had just gotten there, he was a friend of mine's friend) and went to his shop (he opened up just for me) and we did it....three hours later I had a great tat. After 17 years, I'd like to have it touched up, but not changed, still love it.

How many times have you mowed your lawn this year so far?
SpecialKaye replied to BillyVance's topic in The Bonfire
God NO!!! We have a big 40 horse John Deere, but by the time you get done mowing, weedeating and the pushmowing trim work, it's like 5-6 hours...every 5 days. Within 48 hours of getting the John Deere put away, the seedheads are popping back up AGAIN!!!
