I agree with TypicalFish here. It would depend on the situation, and how the person dealt with it. I would hate to miss out on someone because of that. Especially when most all but AIDS can be controlled or cured now. I would not date an AIDS infected person though. That is my only for sure "no". The end result of death is too much for me to take. I have several friends that have gotten things over the years and all got rid of it, or lived with it. The 1 in 4 with herpes argument is an interesting one. The buddy of mine that is a doctor said its all over the younger 18-35 single age range. Also that quite a few have it and will never know because they never have a breakout. The same goes for papillona(sp) virus that causes warts. He had said even more have a form of that. Only 2 cause visible warts, the rest just hang out. I have never personally been approached by someone in that situation, or had one myself (knock on wood) but I would have to say I would have an open mind about it and have a few questions. Some girl that got raped in college and given something shouldnt be made to pay for it or feel bad her whole life. Nor should the guy that didnt think his wife was cheating on him till he broke out with something. I just think every situation deserver an open mind on this one. Oz

That was cute... We do need something to laugh at! It takes the edge off my ears ringing from the generator noise. Oz

They have done that many times. Wouldnt be a big shocker to me..... Oz

I have the booze, fuel, and food ready. I am about sick of hurricaines now. I dont think my liver can take much more. Oz

Just got my 70 Gal of gas in the garage again! How I love pack-ratting fuel for the generator. So much for jumping this weekend. My home DZ (Seb) will never be working at this rate! Any fellow jumpers in the area, I throw a hell of a hurricane party. Last one for Frances was nuts, this one should be just as fun. I have enough power to run the house with A/C and all so it a comfy place to get trashed and sleep. Damn hurricaines..... Oz

The cat perch I got from PetsMart. The two used to always fall off the small ledge so I saw that thing and put it up there. They both love it and actually curl up together on it. Oz

I am a newbie so take this and my 42 jumps of experiance as a disclaimer. I was taught by my rigger to roll the nose to slow an opening. I have a Spectre so I have never needed to slow my opening down but I have done it anyway to see what it would do. After picking up the tail, I pulled the nose from between my legs. I counted 3 cells from the left, rolled them a few times then the 3 from the right, rolled them the same amount. Left the center cell unrolled and pushed them in the packjob and rolled the tail around them. This slowed the opening on my spectre a noticable amount. I am sure my way of explaining this has much room to improve, but you get the basic idea. have a packer show you how to roll the nose next time at your DZ of an instructor. Again, 42 jump wonder information, seek better advice. Oz

What a great post. It fits perfectly. As a newbie myself I see how you can want to move down in size quickly, but just dont see the benefit. you cant even wring out a Nav 260 in 50 jumps much less a sport canopy. I hope he has good insurance! Oz -
Sebastian is open today per their newsletter. I would give them a call to make sure, but I would bet they are. Go jump and have some fun. Thats my home DZ and love it. Great view and nice landing area. Oz

All my instructors wore lead and the last two jumps of AFF they had to sit to keep up... Im an anvil. Oz

I thought of that as I typed it and figured I would get caught using it! I may one day venture higher but seeing as I am never going to be all that current, I doubt it. I guess we will have to see! Oz

The container I had before the Icon couldnt fit the 217 reserve I had in it right. I flew a few 190's and felt fine under them. So, I bought the 190 smart, eventually got a new Icon container, and kept the 210 main the old container came with. I am actually lighter than what my profile has for me as of now. I load the 210 at 1.18 and 1.31 I will eventually downsize to a 190 main and keep it that way 190:190 for the rest of my jumping career. I am a weekend warrior and will never jump over 1.4 wingload. I like the ones on my Icon. I do agree that they are hard to get open and into at first though. I would like to see them open better on their own. Oz -
Maybe you can ask if you are allowed to stall on rear risers? Its a more violent stall, but its easier than toggles on my Spectre. I cant stall my spectre w/ out wraps. Oz

DD I saw video, you must be missing a codec.... Oz

On my back, or arms tucked feet down... Oz

The Spectre is a slightly elliptical main. I have one and love it. Great canopy... Oz
