Basically, it says the widower of a dead woman who had worked for Bill Clinton 15 years ago, had been in contact with Russian lobbyists on behalf of the private firm he now works for. So what? No, the NDA and $130k payment were all sorted before the election. As the tapes show, Trump and Cohen didn't even blink at paying it. So, extorting a presidential candidate for a quick cash grab really was quite easy, successful and risk free. It was only when she changed her mind and decided she could get much more from publicity and media appearances than the she got from the NDA that shit hit the fan. So, really it's 'un-extorting' a President and attempting to tell a true story about them that's dangerous. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

It's interesting - Marc has always been rabidly anti-democrat and anti-leftist, perfectly willing to tie his principles in knots and deal in rank hypocrisy in order to criticize whatever the dems were doing at the time. But that didn't mean he always ran in lockstep with the Republicans. He criticized Bush sometimes, he went against the party line when he disagreed with it. With Trump, he's gone full kool-aid. He willingly swallows every bit of propaganda the Trump government puts out. There is nothing at all that can't be ether defended or explained away as a deep state conspiracy or fake news. That is the cult that Trump has created. It's sad that Marc probably still sees himself as an independent thinking, anti-government watchdog when in fact he's morphed into an unquestioning stooge for an authoritarian administration. Yes, there's a 'funny' concept you may not be aware of, you can recognise that someone is an honourable person with good intentions, while still disagreeing with their politics. I think you'd find it hard to dig up examples of the commentators in this thread mocking McCain or attacking him on a personal level the way that Trump has. Despite the fact tht McCain's biggest mistake - pandering to the Tea Party and running with Palin - arguable helped set the stage for Trump's nomination. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Here's what I don't get about Qanon - so there's a vast child sex trafficking conspiracy involving almost every branch of the government and a massive network of the rich, powerful and famous... and yet Trump the celebrity chaser, the billionaire politician from a family of billionaires, the documented sexual predator and child ogler.... is not part of it. They do not want to understand what you say. The big stick used by the left, and maybe they only one they have left, is to scream racism. It's telling that you both have to ignore what was actually said, about legal immigration and multiculturalism, in order to defend it. Almost as if you both know she really was being racist... That's simply not true. In fact the Attorney General is required to investigate certain allegations against the president, and to appoint a Special Prosecutor if it's not obvious that the allegations are frivolous. If you think about why the Special Prosecutor exists (to avoid conflicts of interest in investigating the investigator's boss) then your interpretation makes no logical sense. If you need to prove the crime before appointing a Special Prosecutor then the conflict of interest will already play out in full before you can do so, in which case what's the point of the office? Rush, why do you think it is the way you have stated it? Who told you it was, or which laws did you look up? Can you link to any information that backs up your version of the law? Then you can have a logical discussion with pretty much everyone here. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
