  1. Every single chop was from a spinner. Four on personal gear due to tension knots and five on tandems. (Three line overs and two tension knots.) Replace worn line sets to avoid tension knots. Oh, and one intentional using capewells and three rounds. (My first) Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  2. The worst one I recall was a twenty eight foot cheapo over LAND! Ouch. Only twice, and the power line broke my fall on the first one, because it snagged the canopy. I jumped something called a "Titan" that truly sucked. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  3. I like your visual. I put up a thread about how I mounted mine. Care to share your mounting ideas? Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  4. I was very "snag" conscious when I did this. Gaffer tape over the antenna will render it useless, though. The grommet is seated well and not a problem. I'll have to keep it in the cockpit to maintain the signal before jumping. I'll probably make an inside pocket on my jumpsuit for the unit. The magnetic attachment is pretty secure. The ones on my van don't budge. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  5. Google Oompa Loompa goggles or look on Ebay for the same. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  6. I have a couple of GPSMap 76s by Garmin. This was my solution for keeping a signal in FF. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  7. Multistate was easy for me. If you don't know the answer and can't eliminate to smaller choices, then look at your watch. Whatever quadrant the second hand is in is the letter choice. e.g. 1-15 is an A, etc. Wear earplugs!! There's a lot of white noise in the room. Oh yes.. Vibes. It's the wait for results that kills you. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  8. I saw something somewhere on TV land demonstrate that a puff of air from a tennis ball with about a pencil diameter hole in it would open electric locks. My vehicle was "broken" into a couple of times with nothing taken. The last time they cleaned me out, though. Stay away from Harbor Lights in East Houston. Russell M. 9. Actually, I'm on what started out as the trip from hell that I posted about here Presently, I'm at the Place d'Armes hotel deep in the French Quarter in NOLA. I'm about to go walk into a not very crowded Bourbon Street area and CHOP and DRINK; then walk back to the room and sleep..... or NOT. Russell M. 10. Trip turned out ok. We rented an "economy" car and were pleasantly surprised with a Suzuki that actually had cruise control. Drove to Orlando and hung out for a couple of days. Jump at Lake Wales, Tunnel time, Beach time and time at the docks near Cocoa Beach. Pelicans are amazing. Back to Slidell tomorrow to get the Womfish out of hock. Home on Friday. BSBD Hutch. Woof. 12. Today I made a jump at Lake Wales, did some time in the SkyVenture tunnel and hung out at the Atlantic Ocean for a while.
  13. I'll stop at DeLand and perhaps get to Lake Wales and the tunnel. Epcot for a day. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  14. Girlfriend. She left some of her stuff too. We ended up taking a C note cab ride to the airport to get a renta car. Drove to Lafayette and recovered the goods and arrived back at Slidell at seven. If the Womfish is going to take too long to get fixed we'll just take the renta for a LONG ride and pick up Womfish on the way back. Russell M. 15. Ok, so we're on vacation and on the way to Florida when the Womfish takes a dump. We have to get towed back to Slidell, but the Ford dealer service dept closed just before we arrived. Before that, we stopped at the DZ there, but NOBODY HOME!! Now the Womfish is locked in the dealership till Monday, and we're at a Hampton Inn with power running out on the computer (because I left the battery and stuff at the motel we stayed at last night) .. Oh, yes, the renta car places are all closed.. Any brethren want to come shuttle us to a restaurant? To the DZ to jump if it's open tomorrow? I'll buy dinner. We're at the Hampton Inn 56460 Frank Pichon Road, Slidell La. Room 220. 713 225 5932 or 985 726 9777. Anyone traveling on I 10 East from Lafayette LA? You could bring me my computer power supply from the motel there.
  16. Uh, really? I own the Womfish too.
  17. EAST I intend to visit Nawlins, Quincy, FL, Deland and maybe the tunnel. Of course, I'll make time for her too. Which Florida DZs are open during the week? Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com

I've been enjoying some vids there tonight. Filter through the tandems putting up their videos by using good key words like eloy, rantoul, quincy, wffc, malfunction, premature... biplane etc.. . On another note, can you chime in with what kind of unconventional plane flies at your dz. I have a pretty extensive list, but it's always good to get a new log entry. Russell M. 19. Probably won't make the boogie. I'll visit LP, just the same. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  20. Scheduled for summer. The Northwest, including MT Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  21. I don't want to drive the Womfish up a snowy mountain just yet. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  22. Very Soon. Sorry, but East or West are the only options at this time. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  23. So, my girlfriend an I are going on a week long road trip from Houston. No concrete plans. We could go East to Florida or West to CA. Sadly, she's a WHUFFO, who doesn't feel like jumping with me yet. Should we go EAST or WEST? Driving the Womfish, of course. Discuss. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
  24. Do you have a long or short closing pin? It's possible for the (older version) longer pin to get trapped by the disk if it's outside the pin tip protector and facing up. The force traps it between the disk and the closing flap. If it's under the closing loop grommet that's another way to total. Twists in the pin pulling line can also increase the pull force. Way to go on EP.
