  1. Yes, I'm going to follow doctor's recommendations. Just got an "implantable cardioverter-defibrillator" a week sgo. Doc says no jumping for the rest of this year and here in Alberta the season ends about Novemeber 1st. He says we'll see the data from the ICD over winter and make a new decision next year, so indeed I may be done. My question.... Is anyone jumping with an ICD?
  2. I agree with Rob's post about weight. A smaller person might well be OK landing it but a bigger person not so much, especially one of this vintage.
  3. Someone is selling a Firelite reserve. They want $250 for it. In my mind it's a car cover https://www.facebook.com/commerce/listing/686784093754702/?media_id=2&ref=share_attachment Edit to add: the $250 is not just for the Firelite. It includes and old Vector too

Curious about how the word will get out that the forums are back. I posted in the Skydiving Reddit and a group on FB but pretty much no activity in the forums other than on the DB Copper thread
  5. So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
  6. The "This Site is For Sale" banner has disappeared.
  7. a link to an STC, probably not the right one.. https://www.sealandaviation.com/sites/default/files/SkyDive-Step-and-Door-Issue-2.pdf
  8. If you use an Apple iPhone the answer is easy... their Air Tags. If you use android, stay away from Samsung Smarttags... they only work with Samsung phones. I made the mistake, but won't again. Rather look for tags that work with Google Find which works on all Android phones including Samsung. By example... https://www.independent.co.uk/extras/indybest/gadgets-tech/google-android-airtag-tracker-b2526969.html
  9. What are the differences between your two products?
  10. I'd be much more concerned if I was looking at evidence of improperly cut closing loops. I've seen none in this thread and heard of none in the sport.
  11. This says your dealer can accept your trade in and you get $ towards your new one https://www.cypres.aero/services/trade-in/
