  1. The 3.1L v-6 should have aluminium heads. I have had problems with the Dex-Cool causing leaks from gaskets and hoses. It is usually a problem on cars that had been switched to Dex-Cool from other types though. It started to seep through the hoses on my Camaro (73) when I tried it. 2. Here labor is about $750.00. Labor rate is $65/hour. Parts (gaskets etc.)are about $230.00. If you had cracked heads that would be more. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  3. K.C. Rage if you don't use capitols Brick Spector if you use Rob or Brett Hammer if you use Robert. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  4. Brian, If you are on solo status why don't you see if your coaches will do that now. As long as you are not interfearing with their paying jumps. Mabey offer to pay for their slot. That way you get good training and someone who can tell what you may need to work on. Another option is if any licensed jumper wants they can jump with you they just cannot take grips or touch you. You can still practice fall rates, forward and backward movements, stopping on heading after a turn, etc.. just remember to plan the jump, jump the plan and keep it simple. I would also talk to the coaches about the person you want to jump with to see if they would recomend them. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." 5. Kat69, Kapowsin is about 60 miles south/south east of Snohomish, near Tacoma. It is easy to get to just a long drive. As Amazon said, the weather here will make it difficult to get a lot of altitude for your AFF jumps so static-line may be a quicker way to get your license. If you decide that you want to do AFF anyway be patient. Talk to manifest next Friday. Some things may be changing soon to help you. 6. no need to shoot now. i was only joking about the France thing. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  7. if you work the tandems right you could sell France and get enough to buy a whole continent. then you could be a skygod with a continent. think of the possibilities "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  8. O.K. but you still have to take France. unless someone else wants them. then you could sell. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  9. congratulations. But are you sure you want to let your daughter meet anyone from here? "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  10. let's just divide the world up between us skydivers. you take France, I'll take Germany. who want's what next? "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  11. your not going to call yourself The Queen of France now. Are you? "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  12. and that's the way it should be, and usually is. this is not a cheap sport to get in to and that is why it is important for the experienced jumpers to help the lowtime jumpers when they can. so that they in turn will be willing to help the next group of students when they can and keep the sport growing. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  13. nope. just hung out for about 45 minutes and then took off. I'm going to see if C.J. can/will do it up in Snohomish. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  14. not to worry. I'm not an exhibitionist. I just wear shorts all year long. everyone seems to think I'm a little crazy when it's only 30 something degrees out and I'm in shorts and a tee shirt. let us know if you make it out here. we can do some RW or whatever. 15. sorry, no rounds for me but I will probably be in the Al Zilk meet. T.H. said he expected me to take it. HAHAHAHAHA Thats funny. I hope we can get the Van longer this year. It was in WA. last weekend when I was down there. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  16. you are correct. all we can do in that case is try our best to help them and if they get out of control it should be the DZO or S&TA that talks to them. P.S. Amazon, don't you think May is a little optimistic for good weather. I mean come on now, were talking Seattle. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  17. I started jumping about a year and a half ago and from the very first jump everyone at the DZ was super and made you feel welcome. That is one of the reasons I decided to get my license there. I went to another local DZ this weekend to do Coach Course jumps and the attitude there was totally different, like they didn't want me there. If we start treating newbies( tandems, static line, AFF) like that then why would they want to continue in the sport. It shouldn't matter how many jumps you have but that you are willing to make the commitment to furthering the sport, and the only way that can happen is by just being nice to the people who are just starting out. 18. or at least use your spell check. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  19. Anything that hauls ass is cool with me. I'd love a WRX STi but $$$$. The Chevelle runs 12.30's, the Camaro 13.70', the El Camino 14.80's, and the Probe 15.90's. You have to find out how fast they are! "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  20. Hey now, I do not enjoy beating the hell out of people in my Camaro (1973 not 82- w/t-tops) and my wife is not leading a militia to overthrow the government in her El Camino (1968). Still good funny though but you forgot my 1971 Chevelle and 1994 Ford Probe "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  21. way too funny "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05

  23. that is just wrong "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  24. That's easy. just do it again. Seriously though you just have to remember that the craving WILL GO AWAY. You need to think happy thoughts for a few minutes and next thing you know it's gone. I wont lie, I still get cravings, but it does get easier with time. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
  25. I quit about 2 1/2 years ago with the patch and lots of gum. My biggets problem was while driving (50 miles to work each way) and I just had to get over it. I also quit drinking coffee, pop and other things that I knew would make me want to smoke. As for your new free time just play it by ear. Think of new things to do in the air or what ever comes to mind. "If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive." Josh Whipple 7/15/70-2/10/05
