  1. Yep, that would be right on time! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  2. Ugh, you like that skit?! I never could see anything funny about it. My favorite things were always the fake commercials. They were great parodies. And the Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Laraine Newman skit about caring for your Uvula. It was great. "It'll behoove ya -- to care for your uvula!" -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  3. I...think it has to do with how soon you plan on using them. If it's in the next few days, or a week or so, don't bother freezing them. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  4. I did not know that girls called people douches! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  5. That beats having a wife who barks. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  6. I'm posting a picture of my cat, Feather, who was seven months old in October when I adopted her from an animal shelter. She's great -- I've never had a cat so cute. She's still pretty young, so her behavior reflects her... "youthful exhuberance." (Sometimes gets on my nerves, but I love 'er anyway!) Also I'm posting a picture of my sister's cat, Paisley -- who is a real character, especially since she's really ancient for a cat, like nearly 20 years old! When I was in high school and lived at home with her, a dog, and three other cats, she always liked to hang with me. She is a notorious drooler. If you're scratching her neck or head or chin, she purrs and drips like a faucet! Cats are great!
  7. I like the fact that your leg is tied down in the second pic......Noice... Ya like that, huh? Tell us what you like about that, okay? Don't spare details! LOL! -Jeffrey ~R+R... -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  8. Keely, there is not a thing funny looking about your toes -- they're reallly cute! And if Anthony gets to kiss 'em save a foot for me with no slobber on it, okay? Oh, and yeah, I noticed that Lark's Head in the nice blue kernmantle rope right away -- matches your nail polish, too. What's the story behind that?? And do you wanna learn some really effective rope work for that, that's a lot harder to escape from? I got some knowledge... -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  9. I wonder if there's a whuffo for that kind of activity? "Whuffo you do that climbin'/walkin'/hikin' thing fo'?!" See? You can get killed doing any old thing. Might as well do something that's badass -- like skydiving! You're gonna die anyway!! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  10. Heh, I can just picture that! Were you a science geek in high school? I think it's anemometer... but I'm not sure. Yep, I just looked it up, "anemometer." Just the fact that you have an anemometer... "Johnny, is this true? 'Cause if it is ... I don't know how to react!" But now that I think about it, um, it makes perfect sense for someone who runs a DZ to have one of those. Carry on. What's the best way to find out if we can skydive this Sunday? I don't want to pester you via the DZ phone. Will you just post here? -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Thanks for giving me a giggle!

I can't really vote on this, because there doesn't seem to be a choice to fit how I feel. I don't like hip-hop. I don't view it as a "legitimate art" -- for what that's worth. I consider it, for the most part, poorly-executed poetry mixed with music. I absolutely loathe the "lifestyle" of rappers. (Yes, I still call them "rappers" -- so sue me!) But I have to admit that Eminem's rap, at least, is entertaining to me. I don't like him, I don't love him, I guess I don't hate him: but I can say that he's a bit fascinating -- and definitely talented. I have to wonder what he might have done if he was less street, more classically trained. He is definitely a polished showman. In fact, I think I plan to eventually see 8 Mile and get the soundtrack, because that one theme song from it is realy appealing and has a great pace. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... 13. Wow... This is why I like being a relative newbie to skydiving. I got to enjoy a period of blissful ignorance of the dark underbelly of the "cliquiness" thing you're talking about, and the ugliness that can go on in skydiving like in anything else. Everywhere I go in skydiving, I just smile and meet people and say hi and be friendly and take things at face value. I have had the fortune to not have met anyone I thought was a real jerk to be avoided. Yes, some shitstorms have happened in near proximity (like SoBe's snafu closing, for one) but like I said, I as a newbie was always just on the outside of stuff like that -- for me, skydiving never lost its appealing veneer. With luck, the fun parts of skydiving will weather the crap you're talking about, and liars and deceitful people will fall by the wayside, in a natural cleansing process. Hopefully. In the meantime, the sky is always your friend, and never far away. If you're down in FL again this winter, get in touch, Brent. I'll jump with ya.
  14. Waitaminute! You can't leave Florida without me meeting you at least once!! How can I in good conscience wear a cool helmet I bought at your store if I haven't even met YOU?! C'mon, stick around! Like you said, it's just stuff! Besides, didn't Wendy say that the shop did fine?
  15. Not your fault, Angela. I hope you can manage to forgive yourself -- you can't be blamed for things that jump into your path. Rest knowing you tried what you could. A cat that's dead is a cat that's not suffering, you know. You had a flying squirrel? That's coooool! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  16. are economical, indispensable, ethereal, incomparable, inexhaustable, and useful. Here are some for your mother and you.
  17. Keep that bottle -- it may become a collector's item! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  18. Awww, man, dude... Sorry to hear that. Best wishes for a full recovery!
  19. Can you answer the question, "Why do people make bad films?" I have not been able to understand it. Is it just that during the making of it, it just doesn't seem bad yet?? -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  20. Wennnndy! I feel so bad you're going through such crap! You're a trouper! I think many would have just thrown their hands up, but it seems you're still chuggin' -- no doubt I speak for many when I say I appreciate it. I hope things start workin' out for you again. Good luck with everything. If there is work that needs doing this weekend, and you're looking for volunteers, get me here or on my phone and all you have to do is ask. I'd be happy to help. If I'm not up there jumping this weekend, I might as well be up there helping to get skydiving happening again. Blue skies, -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  21. I have always liked sky- and flight-related names, and the color blue, so years ago I became very fond of the word "Azure," which according to my dictionary means, "the blue color of the clear sky." That's what I would change my name to. But I do also like "Jeffrey," which means, "heavenly peace; blessed one." Did you ever read a book by Ursula K. LeGuin called A Wizard of Earthsea? It's a great book. In the folklore of her fiction, the ultimate magical power over something comes from knowing its true name. So people go by "use names," which are like nicknames, and they are given their true names at a rite of passage ceremony by someone very trusted, who becomes the only other person to know the person's true name. I like the idea of a society in which people would be able to pick their own names. I think we should do something like that. You go a certain length of time with the name your parents give you, but when you are old and mature enough, you pick the name you want, since after all, it's all about you! Blue skies, -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  22. Adorable! I love that black nose -- it's not what you'd expect from a white-faced cat. Normally pink, yes? Cool! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  23. Nope, I'll have some pics posted later tonight, of my gorgeous cat Feather. She's beeeeeautiful. Little hellion late at night, too. Silver and white fur, with golden rust eyes. Very strange, but bewitching.
  24. She is adorable! Is she as sweet and coy as she looks? -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  25. Excellent! I love the name Rupert for the teddy bear! Has McFarlane ever said where the idea for that came from? I have the first two seasons on DVD but I have never listened to the commentary. Maybe if I have power during this new hurricane bullshit I'll watch again and listen to it. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
