I say better to just eat chicken, then, and leave something as cool as a rattlesnake alone to live. Chickens are a dime a dozen. Rattlesnakes are awesome! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Isn't that a convenience store in New Jersey? And southwestern Pennsylviania. I couldn't believe it when I went to go the hotel desk in Philadelphia and asked where I could get some antacid and a newspaper and she said "at the WAWA, HOOONEEEEY" I just shook my head and left the building... and there it was... The Wa Wa. Amazing. Ahhh, would that it were so simple. Just walk on down to the corner and there's your Wawa... *sigh* -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Paige, the beginning of your sig line makes me think, "You take the good, you take the bad, you take 'em both and there you have the facts of life... the facts of life!" -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Dr. Cole in Orlando FL Hospital South. He put me and many skydivers back together. One of the top surgeons/orthoped. in the country. Any relation to Dave Cole, my AFP instructor? You know, one breaks 'em, the other mends 'em...? -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Actually, I was more worried about not being able to buy guns! See ya Sunday!

The Death Penalty is the only way to deal with this kind of scumbag. If you don't kill them, they only continue to prey on honest people. Deterrents like fines and prison don't stop them. Since they can't be deterred, they have to simply be stopped. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Well, I'm not fully clear on this. Was the woman black? Is that why she felt it was okay to attack a person with a racial slur? (Oh, and I'm waiting to be challenged for the notion that one could tell over the phone that someone is black...) -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... I think you should just hug her and kiss her and tell her you love her sooooo much and will never leave her -- all the comfy stuff that people like to hear that puts them at ease. I think that if you say you PROMISE to not get killed skydiving, it will hold weight even though it is, of course, not valid to promise such a thing. People just like hearing reassurances, even if they are counterintuitive. And do your skydiving inside the damned envelope, and chances are you won't get injured or killed. Take it from me, with 109 jumps, 0 swoops, that you can have a lot of enjoyment from skydiving even if you're not doing the crazy-high-risk stuff! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Oh ho ho, I didn't realize what I was getting into when I ordered an Ouragan suit from Nancy after meeting her and Justin at Skydive SoBe... I had to wait a good long time, especially since I was getting custom work done design-wise, but... IT WAS WORTH WAITING FOR!!!! The wait is now history, but I have a gorgeous royal blue suit with custom embroidered "knot-work" to show for it, and it's amazing! Besides, Nancy is such an excellent, feistyspunkyUP person! Her spirit and enthusiasm are infectious! I drove all the way from West Palm Beach to DeLand on the weekend of my 100th jump just to pick up my suit so I could wear it on that special skydive.

LOL! I read "roll over there" and started thinkin' in "homey-speak"... "Yo yo yo, roll over there in yo whip and bust dat ho til she give up da benjamins!" Or words to that effect. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" -
Dude, you're BADASS! Whatchoo worried about?! You'll be fine. I've been under general anesthesia twice in my life -- once for wisdome teeth extraction, and once for colonoscopy -- and it's actually kinda cool to experience! I like waking up being taken care of and watched and the disorientation is fun, plus the realization that you can be injected with something that renders you totally senseless... It's an interesting life experience. Plus, you can look forward to waking up with better-working plumbing! Be well. THINK GOOD THOUGHTS! (I'm serious. It f*ckin' WORKS!) -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Nothing like high Ebay drama to take your mind off vehicular felicide!! I think the guy was a schmuck for not following through and purchasing. He found a better deal more local? So what? That's his excuse for blowing off your contract through the auction? Uh uh. You were not wrong for leaving negative feedback. I hope he doesn't do the same to you; but like others said, you can leave an explanation that makes him look like the jerk he made himself out to be. It's amazing, though, I've never had a real bad Ebay experience. I'm always a buyer, never a seller, though. I usually watch my auctions closely and pay within several hours of completion (because I want my stuff shipped YESTERDAY!) and they always note how fast a payer I am. -
For some reason, "Black Magic Woman" is stuck in my head. I think I might have heard it while I was in the shower today... I keep "hearing" the opening guitar solo. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Wow, I guess I took for granted being able to spot landing areas from the sky, since before I jumped, I had pilot training experience. (It also helped for canopy flight and landings!) I'm sure there are people to talk to at any DZ for a newbie to get tips from. I remember being new at Clewiston, and after checking my logbook and reserve data, Lisa took a few minutes to show me aerial photos of the DZ and explain the landing areas! They don't do that everywhere? They did it for me at Sebastian, too! Pahokee was a no-brainer... that was where I began skydiving and I had been flying there for practice from West Palm Beach a lot already. If I couldn't spot that LZ from the air, I'd have to be asleep or something! I knew it cold. Just don't be afraid to ASK people, that's what I figure is best. No point in getting into the plane if you have lingering doubts. Anyone who would make fun of you, give you a hard time, or think less of you for asking for help spotting the LZ is not worth worrying about what they think! Get your answers, and get confident before you jump there. Good luck. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Would you screw someone who you knew had an STD?

I'll bet a lot of morons said "Yes." Sadly, many did. It was ridiculous. Homer Simpson once needed money so bad, he said, "That's okay, I can sell one of my livers! ...I can get by with just one!" I'll bet some of these idiots either don't know you have just one liver (if they even know that hepatitis affects the liver), or they think it's curable. Maybe they think if they pull out, they can't get it from her! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" -
Pop! Pop! Pop Pop! Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop!! How long before your addiction is not to cigarettes, but to antidepressants. Look, I know that quitting a cigarette addiction is supposed to be really hard... but what ever happened to strength of character and will? What ever happened to fortitude? Do we really look for the easy, effortless, "I-don't-have-to-lift-a-finger, things-will-work-out-for-themselves" solution to everything? I think that we as a society have gotten away from any demand for personal responsibility, and any expectation of inner strength, in favor of cheap, quick-fixes, and a pill for every thing we feel is wrong. I think we're straying much to far from a healthy way to be. Our mentality is sick, these days. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
