  1. Have you noticed that pretty much all appointments which can extract money for millionaires are going to millionaires and pretty much all appoints which are strictly for the benefit of "the people" are going to either completely incompetent people or . . . millionaires which have previously screwed over "the people"? quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  2. I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but pretty much everything on Facebook is "rigged" in one way or the other. In my estimation, it is completely foolish, and perhaps even dangerous to participate in any polling or games or quizzes you see on Facebook. At the very least, they're data mining devices. At the worst, they're a national data base accessible by any government who wishes to use it against its citizenry. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  3. The registered Democrat voting was below normal. What this was due to is to be seen. What really surprised me was 53% of white women didn't vote for HRC. To me that's insanity. I'm not saying they should vote with their genitals, but certainly for their and their daughter's best interests. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  4. Have you met the most important member of the GOP? His name is Gerry Mander. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  5. I'm not sure I can agree with all of this. In fact, I don't really buy into the "White Working Class" narrative of why Trump got elected. I'll admit it's a popular one and people seem to really want that to be the truth, but I believe if you really look at the numbers you'll see something else at work. I think you'll see a huge generational split and a huge rural vs city split, but "young white working class" and "urban white working class" don't seem to fit the narrative. I know a hell of a lot of "white working class" individuals who didn't vote for Trump. I am, by all definitions, smack dab in the middle of the "White Working Class" and I sure as hell didn't. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  6. Bill went nowhere, nor was it ever likely too. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  7. So weird since for (I wanna say) decades (?) the GOP (both sides really) has (have) been bitching about the amount of power various presidents have grabbed away from Congress. But somehow they're (this time the GOP exclusively) are okay with the President being a figurehead (puppet) and the real work being done by the VP? quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  8. The paper is kind of hilarious. People should read it. It's not original research but "meta-analysis" and the conclusion it makes for the 2008 election has range of about 2 orders of magnitude. Hey! Maybe it's 35,000 people or maybe it's 2.8 MILLION people! Yep, that's got to be accurate or maybe not. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  9. Opinion piece published on CNN Source and more: http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/28/opinions/journalists-stop-taking-trump-seriously-todd/index.html I vehemently disagree with the concept of this. What it does is excuse ANYTHING Trump says in service of Trump's agenda. It means he can't be held accountable for ANYTHING he says. What the actual fuck? quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  10. I see. Let's take the list "as is" and without further qualification. Do you really believe Trump has, even just during his candidacy and so far in post election, told less than 36 lies? quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  11. Can we see that list? You say it's documented. Please link it. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  12. Coerce, Just a side note, being an "idealist" isn't something to aspire to. It means the person is out of touch with reality. In that respect, nothing has really changed with you. Being an "idealist" is incredibly easy; just create a fictional world where in your mind everything works perfectly. Reality can never be like that. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  13. As far as I can tell, you've made no point. I believe you're the one misinterpreting his tweet. At the very least, your interpretation doesn't match any analysis of it I've read today by anyone else. Regardless, Trump's claim is completely unfounded in evidence. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  14. Right there where he used the word "illegally." Do you want to do the math on that and get back to me? Seriously. Think about it. What you're suggesting makes no sense whatsoever. 11 million undocumented across the country, but only the ones in the blue states (and 20% of the total) somehow got it together to illegally vote? That's tin-foil hat territory. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  15. That's almost certainly not going to happen. What IS going to happen though is an audit of the Wisconsin election (possibly others as well) to see if the votes reported electronically match up with the printed copies the voters saw when they pressed the last "okay" button to cast their votes. If there is a significant discrepancy between the electronic and paper totals, then by all rights it ought to trigger a nation-wide audit of every similar electronic voting machine. What's really bizarre about Trump's tweet is his claim validates the concept the entire country ought to be audited electronic vs paper. I think it would be better gamesmanship on his part to just stay silent on the subject as opposed to promoting an action which could throw the legitimacy of the entire thing into question. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  16. Evil might be subjective moral judgement based on ones point of view. In this particular case, stupid seems pretty objective. It depends on what your definition of "is" is. Seriously? Do people really even consider that a big deal compared to what has gone on in just the last couple of weeks with Trump's flagrant indifference to conflict of interest? quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

  18. That is the question you ask of the people who voted for him. What other choice did they have? Voting for virtually anyone else or even abstaining. They had quite a few options, however, if they voted for Trump, they voted for an unqualified and possibly dangerous person. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  19. Agreed. Sharing intelligence with Trump is like sharing the theory of relativity with your dog. Disagree. At least you know your dog isn't going to start making unfounded and borderline insane tweets about it. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  20. Please see attachment first. The claim just makes no sense whatsoever. If the DNC or somebody else was going to cheat to win and therefore there were millions of votes cast for Clinton rather than Trump, they would have done it in swing states where it would have given Clinton the election rather than simply the popular vote. We all knew he was a bad loser, but it turns out he's also a bad winner? http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/27/politics/donald-trump-voter-fraud-popular-vote/index.html Maybe the concept of logic just eludes him? quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  21. Okay, seeing it move elsewhere now. http://nypost.com/2016/11/26/cuban-president-fidel-castro-dies-at-90/ quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  22. Have you seen that reported from anyone else other than the BBC or quoting BBC yet? I'm not even seeing that on AP. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  23. Well, it's not speculation Melania and Barron intend to stay at Trump Tower. That's been announced by the Trump transition team. http://nymag.com/thecut/2016/11/melania-and-barron-trump-will-stay-in-new-york-city.html Nor is it speculation what the security requirements might be if that happens. http://nypost.com/2016/11/24/trump-tower-security-may-take-over-2-floors-and-cost-millions/ THE issue here though is NOT the cost for security for the first Family's non-White House residence, but instead the conflict of interest in paying The Trump Organization for the "privilege." quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  24. I don't think that's possible for security reasons. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  25. I think the only way to avoid a conflict of interest here is for Trump to donate the floor. Taxpayers paying for security, fine. That money getting funneled into his pockets, not okay.
