  1. I would call and talk to as many DZ operator/owners first. As many as you can from all sizes and make sure you have a lot of cash ready to put up.
  2. The USPA has enough rules, I will do what every i want in the sky, why do i need to have more requirements? What is you definition of an "expert" ? If you want changes, then get on the board of directors and make them happen, you have that choice. At this time i do a lot of solo jumps, that is my choice, why do i need to get into RW?
  3. My Bad. Thanks for the clarification. Tim
  4. So why did you do it then? You also never filled out your profile? Why is that?
  5. These types of scams have been around for a few years. I am sorry to say but if someone is that stupid to take a check, then send a rig or whatever over seas before the check clears they deserve what they get. If it seems too good to be true, it is. Tim
  6. SDC has a few computer to use with a t1 line and they have a wifi set up too.
  7. Cut away? Does not sould like fun to me, be poor and broke all the time but i get to spend the rest of my life on a DZ. No way. Sounds like the movies to me.
  8. A tandem rig with all the options. That way I could rent it out to one of the schools and use the cash for jumps. Works for me. Sparky *** Now that is a great idea!
  9. repost this question in the freefly section, one of them might know where to get the shot you are looking for.
  10. Nick, That is some great information. Thanks for posting it. Nice to understand the history of our great sport. Tim
  11. Check out the SCR Tattoos in this attachment... *** Those tattoos are by far the coolest skydiving related tats I have seen. They also have some true tradition behind them...Rock On.
  12. I will always jump the otters at Skydive Chicago. They put more money into those planes to make sure they are in the best possible condition always. Some DZ'S skip a beat every now and then do to the cost factor, I know SDC will spend any amount of money on their planes.
  13. Always do what your gut tells you. If you think it is too windy do not jump. Fools like to keep their mouth shut. Ask as many questions as you need to, no question is dumb. Tim
  14. We ought to start an "I watched Oprah" support group.*** THat is a dam good idea...
  15. You should care...Life is short enjoy the ride why you are here.
  16. THANKS for keeping the great USA the place it is today. Tim
  17. I am glad to hear you will now be a doner. Any passing of a friend is the hardest issue to deal with in life. Please take a look at this link, read from Shannon Ryan...This is about my best friend we lost a year ago last January. Peace, Tim http://www.robi.org/dfr/personalstories.asp [url]
  18. With 4 23 person Aircraft in the air all day,and over 100 loads being flown the odds of there being no one landing at the time is slim. My bet is Tim saw you WAY before you ever saw him. He really looks out for each and every person to exit an aircraft, makes sure they open, and makes sure they make it back to the DZ. *** Might be a good idea to let the new jumpers know about the pick up person on the landing area.
  19. Thanks for the new computer trick.....
  20. SDC has all of that and then some. I was just checkin with everyone else on what their opinions were. SDC will always be my home DZ......
  21. Ya like that one......
  22. Hard to get parts for that car....
  23. You do whatever makes you happy and does not cause harm to others.
  24. Well thanks for all the input. Sounds like i need to go check out some other DZ'S. TR
  25. I think SDC has 3 otters, DC3, and had a bell jet helicopter, plus one Cessna. They might have sold 1 of the otters. Not 100% on that. I know for sure it is 2 otters, DC3 and a Cessna.
