My last jump on my Stiletto opened VERY hard and broke 4 lines. When I was packing it up to send to PD I noticed that the Type 17 riser was almost severed at the point of contact with the large ring...doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy!!

Are there any two-pin rigs that are particularly suited for tall people. I remember reading about one rig that rode up higher on the back, but cannot remember which one it was. Got my canopy ordered and want to get my rig going after the first of the year. Thanks.

just make sure to tell all your skydiving friends not to hook their double-digit canopies into the ground so we don't have to read more accident reports on people dying under perfectly good canopies.

Nevada was supposed to be one of the states where the tide was turning. They supposedly changed the pot laws there 180 degrees from where they were. Doesn't quite seem that way though Link1 http://www.norml.org/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4550

there is a pretty cool link on PD's website that shows a video ofa wing suit pilot flying down a skislope in close proximity to the ground. Talk about visuals... http://www.performancedesigns.com/pdzone/video2.asp?team=loic&category=ff&videoID=52

I have a tube that creates bubbles. Does that count?

i have never gone stowed before ...yet...but there is definitely something to just letting go of that PC into the gathering airstream that's pretty cool!
-
well I won't be worried about doing anything near 200' anytime in the foreseeable future...thanx for the info.

Does canopy size have any relationship to PC size? For instance, say jumping an ACE 310 or equivalent...would that put me into a bigger PC range?
-
as a side note...what are the two most popular (useful ) sizes of pilot chutes to have? I currently have a 42" and will be adding another with my new rig purchase. Thanx.

I was on the platfform when he jumped....awesome and inspiring. My first bridge day in 10 years...had a blast and now I have to spend a bunch of money on new base gear. Retired the skydiving gear after the third jump. Only 51 weeks to go!

New poster ....but I'll be there !

I guess I'll be part of the 10% not using base specific gear come saturday. I agree with Tom regarding the fact that bridge day is a little different from the base communtity in general. This will be my third bridge day over twenty years as a skydiver. My first bridge jumps were when I had 100 jumps in 1986. I made it back in 1993, and got a "ten year itch" to go back again this year. While I wouldn't consider using this gear on other base jumps, I probably wouldn't be going if I had to have base gear. This highly supervised event makes it easy to find out the safest way to use the gear you have an d to experience a base jump even though it's not what you normally do. That is not to say that I won't be checking out the new base gear for future exploits, but for now I am psyched to be able to come down and make a few and join the party
