I'm not against the idea, I just don't see how it would work. How do you set off plastic explosives that don't have any kind of receiver. More importantly, how do you set off explosives that don't have a detonator or ignition device? If you can make it work, go for it, but the day one works is the last day bombers try to get on a plane. From then on they'd just detonate in the airport terminal or other target location. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot to learn from him. His pattern fits almost perfectly to the model serial sexual predator. He's highly organized, started with fantasizing, then peeping, then B+E, then theft, then assault, then murder. The trophies are to relive the rush, the moment when he has made everything perfect. He's highly intelligent and motivated. He gathered all the evidence to be used against him when he eventually was caught. And he would never, ever have stopped without death or incarceration. I understand what sort of folks were sent to the School of the Americas. I also understand what they were sent to learn. On the surface, it looks a lot like special forces training, but the plain fact is that it's not like SF. There's a reason they weren't just sent through established SF schools. Along those same lines, I see why you are concerned about places like Blackwater. The problem is that your concerns, like that POS article, are based on misconceptions (well, the article on idiocy and neuroses, too, but let's focus on your concerns). Give Moyock a call. Talk to them. They're not a bunch of raving lunatics. Some of the guys that trained me last month were trained there. I also don't recall LEO train the trainer courses at SotA. Blackwater does. Despeite the author's paranoia, blackwater is not some prep school for death squads. I also spent some time with military operators of a naval persuasion in the outer banks during their down time. I learned two things. These guys named after marine mammals actually do drink like fish, and they're very decent guys if you earn their respect. PS - don't act like not serving active military means a person doesn't qualify to discuss things. I know some (very few) who served and I wouldn't let them shine my boots. I know others who didn't serve and are very knowledgable and worth listening to (as decided by vets). Oh, and FYI, my squad has been shot at and fired more rounds in anger than most military squads. Not all who serve join a federal branch. Actually I wrote a junior thesis on America's intervensions abroad and their consequnces. Major sections revolved around funding insurgents and training revolutionaries.
