Hi folks, From FOX News no less: “There is a broader issue, and think about this: We have the worst inflation in four decades, the worst collapse in real wages in 40 years, the worst crime wave since the 1990s, the worst border crisis in U.S. history, we have Joe Biden, who is the least popular president since Harry Truman, since presidential polling happened, and there wasn’t a red wave,” Also: voters have left, have indicted the Republican Party.” Fox News commentator describes midterms as ‘searing indictment’ for GOP | The Hill As the late Jackie Gleason would say: How sweet it is. Hi John, As I have been saying for years: The American electorate is uninformed and prefers to stay that way. Jerry Baumchen PS) IMO it was the killing of Roe v Wade that prevented the so-called Red Wave. There is a point where even a Republican woman is fed up.

Hi Wendy, Re: religion is a placeholder for all the stuff that seems to be out there, that we don't yet understand As my college Philosophy instructor said, 'If God did not exist, mankind would create him.' Mankind wants to have answers, so they made up some. Also, a very nice post on your thoughts. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Ken, Since I qualify, can I join your club? Jerry Baumchen

Hi airdvr, And, your buddy Trump lives in a fantasy world. Also, I completely disagree with your rather biased premise. Prove it! I would prefer that he not run again, just not because of your comments. Jerry Baumchewn

Hi Wendy, I'm with you; only I think it is still a dream to yet come true. However, with a real push in many places in this country for Ranked Choice Voting, it might get here sooner than we think. Jerry Baumchen PS) Here is an article that Robert Yoder [ ryoder ] posted recently; it give me hope: Nevada Question 3: Ranked-choice voting is on the ballot in Nevada - Vox

Hi Robert, I like it also. Anything [ short of a dictatorship ] that gets rid of the political parties in this country, I'm in support of. It is a little different than Ranked Choice Voting with the top 5 going into the Gen Election. Here in Oregon, there have been attempts similar to this; but, each time, both political parties come out strongly against any changes. Time for the dinosaurs to go into the sunset. Jerry Baumchen PS) IMO our current Primary System kills off the moderates. IMO that is not a good thing. -

Hi Rob, Actually, once the materials are on the cutting table, it makes little difference for production sewers whether the D-bag is a J-1 or J-10 size. Jerry Baumchen -
Hi folks, Ever since the infamous Joe Arpaio, Arizona, this is sort of getting out of hand: In Washington, right-wing sheriff candidates believe their power exceeds the federal government - OPB Therefore, should all Heads of LEO Organizations be elected [ such as a sheriff ] or appointed [ such as a chief of police ]? Thoughts? Jerry Baumchen

Hi airdvr, And when the Warren Comm. finished their work, LBJ signed 'something' so that no one alive at that time could ever see it. That includes me. Do you think LBJ was a conspirator? Jerry Baumchen -

Hi Keith, Re: I am looking for a leader that can work toward unifying both parties. I like to be optimistic, but I wonder if there is one. I'll continue to stay hopeful. Possibly Gavin Newsom or Paul Ryan. That's one from each major party with, IMO, neither from the extremes. I am fairly certain that both are planning on a run for POTUS. Anybody else with a suggestion or two? Jerry Baumchen

Hi Phil, In your video, he says that he knows more about wind than anybody. Well, that along with hot air, I agree. Jerry Baumchen PS) I think his 'wind' & my 'wind' are rather different. PPS) What a total fucking idiot. -

Hi Don, Well, that is not how Donald Trump sees it. He says most of the glass was outside & that means it was a break-out. I mean, he is the expert on everything, right? Jerry Baumchen PS) If I could be a decent on-screen reader, I would not have to do all of these edits. Sheeese. -

Hi folks, SPOILER: If you plan on reading this book you might not want to read any further. I just finished reading this latest John Grisham book. I know I am old, but I like to think my reading comprehension is still working OK. Near the end of [ I think ] Chap 52, Sherrif Fats shoots himself out on a dock. Later in the book, he is freezing in Maine & then even later is doing time somewhere. Anyone have a thought or two? Jerry Baumchen

Hi Wendy, Pres. Jimmie Carter pardoned all the draft dodgers that went to Canada. At first, I was sort of irked about his doing this. Later, I came to accept it. I see no reason for not doing the same for Jane Fonda, I mean, who wants to have what they at 17 did in the back seat of their dad's Chevy, hang over their head for the rest of their life? IMO Jane has more than atoned for what she did. Jerry Baumchen
