  3. Not the point. Point: If Aerodyne can't respond to their own website provided canopy demo request form, then they need to remove the option. Owned by Remi #?

  5. I'm trying to line up a canopy to do my first CRW jumps at Summerfest, if possible. Any old dawgs out there who will be at SDC and might be willing to jump with a pup? Owned by Remi #?

  10. Well, Jim... it's a very small thing, I'll admit, but calling them costs money. They offer a path to request a demo on their web site that does not cost money (at least so far as initial contact goes. I know there is usually a fee for the demo itself). If I owned an Aerodyne product and needed support, I wouldn't hesitate to call if they didn't answer emails. AT the same time, I would expect that if a company offers a method of contact that they would respond to that method of contact. Small things contribute to the ultimate decision many people make about what products they are going to buy from whom. That point was my reason for posting this. Owned by Remi #?
  11. A couple of years ago when I was looking to buy new gear I contacted Aerodyne and requested a Pilot demo. I didn't get any response from them so I followed up a few weeks later with another request. I finally got a response along with an apology for the delay and a promise to send the demo. A few weeks later, having heard nothing (and after I had given up and bought a Sabre2) I emailed again and got another apology and promise to send the demo. I told them not to bother at that point. So, a few weeks ago I contacted Aerodyne again to ask about getting a Triathlon to demo for CRW. As of today, they haven't responded. I hear that the PD Storm might make a good CRW canopy. Doesn't Aerodyne want to sell canopies? Owned by Remi #?

  14. So... you didn't notice that the OP was 2 years old and that the thread was reopened recently by someone asking about reasonable rates for balloon jumps, I guess? Owned by Remi #?
  15. You are free to go jump at a non USPA member dropzone. Owned by Remi #?
  16. Jump numbers have nothing to do with the price of the specialty jumps (but you might need a B license to sign up) Plan on bringing food or bring money for food. Plan on spending roughly 100 each for things like helicopter and balloon jumps. Plan on paying 25-50 for boogie registration. Then plan on paying 20-25 a pop for your jumps. Figure out how many jumps you want to make, then add it all up and see how much you need to bring. Owned by Remi #?

  18. The question wasn't about the law. It was about USPA member dropzones. They are supposed to adhere to the USPA BSRs. Owned by Remi #?

  22. There isn't any logic in this, Chubba. You had one, count 'em one, bad sub terminal deployment and that's your reason to pull lower? Do you really think that just because you've had a few jumps go well because of the additional delay that this is a good idea? Serious here, guy. If you want to make sure you get to terminal before you pull, the answer at 20 jumps is not to pull lower, it's to exit a bit higher for now. Owned by Remi #?
