After you've made that first jump there's no such thing as "starting all over again" I've taken the first jump course about 20 times in the past 2 years, and I've had tons of refresher training and a couple of recurrency jumps thrown in to the mix as well. I write mine in my logbook. I do not enter it as freefall time because it isn't freefall time. I do consider it part of my overall skydiving experience and I like to have it documented. Take a look at post 4... I already agreed that this is true. The OP asked about someone under 18 jumping at a USPA dropzone. The rules are that someone must be either 18 or have a waiver from the full board, or be 16 with parental consent or have a waiver from the full board. I listed that in post #2. How are you getting that I think someone who's 16 needs a waiver from the full board as long as 1. They have parental consent and 2. The DZ allows it? Owned by Remi #?

I don't see that being tricky at all. Either you do the frontloop against the manufacturer recommendation with the expectation that you can use the "everyone else does it" excuse if something goes wrong , or you follow the recommendation and don't do it. Staying within industry accepted procedure usually applies more to not doing something dangerous just because there isn't an explicit rule against it, and most of your peers don't do it even if there isn't a rule against it.
