Taking out the cascades: The two AB centerlines are replaced with four lines, thick red 800lb Dacron for the two As and microline for the two Bs. A retractable has 4 rings, two in the center and one on each side about halfway between the endcell and center on each side. On Triathlons, an 800 lb Dacron line is anchored on one of the center rings, feeds through one of the side rings, then across the canopy to the other side ring, then back through the other center ring, then through a closing pin, d-bag and attaches to the pilot chute. When the canopy is collapsed (all the rings are together) there is excess line between the last center ring and d-bag which acts as a bridle. Actually, it looks like it is a step through on one of the A-B lines. The flipped around line is going through the front left grommet of the slider and the tension is bringing the front left riser in. It is definately something that should be noticed packing because it is below the slider. If you are separating the brakes, CDs and ABs and walking the lines up, it should be pretty obvious. The Wing EXT series is specifically designed for taller jumpers (generally 5'10" and up) who either: A) fly small (under 120 square foot) high performance mains but like the security of a larger reserve (ie: 75 Velocity and a Raven-M 135), OR B) have fairly large main and reserve canopies but still need a longer container, to ensure that the BOC deployment handle is in the right place (not too high up on his/her back).
