I run Premiere 6.0 on a Toshiba Satellite w/ 512k RAM, 1.1 Gig processor, 16mb Invidia video card (built in) and I have an 80 Gig 7200 rpm firewire drive for my video storage. If I am doing something big, it takes a while to render, but I never have dropped frames. I think they are making Satellites in the 2+ processor range with built in dvd/cdr burners now for about 2000.00. I wish they had a trade in program... One of the downsides I have heard about the Sony's is the video card is integrated into the processor, so it steals a little efficiency away. This is my "poor man's" method for stowing excess brake line. I take the loop to the outboard side of the riser, through the riser loop and around the top of the toggle before I put it into the elastic. If you are jumping a lighter wingloading (big canopy) you are a little more apt to be dragged in high winds, because they are harder to deflate after landing. However, in choppy winds, you have an airfoil that is a less prone to distortion. I think the airlocks might have a little less drag from the inlets once the canopy is pressurized too. Yes, but there are 25,000 DWI related fatalities in the US each year. Many of the victims were just as innocent as 911 victims and their families equally terrorized... Yes, it is complete bullshit. First Data initiated it several years ago and it completely wacked their performance measurement system out pissing off countless employees. I don't think there is a single executive left from its implementation to now.
