  1. Good luck this weekend! I did my AFF last summer at DeLand, and it was great! Because of my tunnel time, I could do it in 5 jumps, but I still had all these "what ifs..." in my head. I shouldn't have! It was nothing but fun! My instructors where really cool and made me feel safe. I asked loads of questions, but they never made me feel like a dummy. They said I'd be a dummy if I didn't ask those "stupid" questions! Like metalslug says, the exit is also still (after 20 jumps) the most scary part for me, but as soon as you're out...WOW As far as advice, as a newbie myself, I can only say that the tunnel helped me a lot, and that I've seen lots of other AFF students that where stuck on some level, have the problem fixed in no-time with a few minutes in the tunnel. Have fun! Pauline. ------------------------------------- I can bent minds with my spoon..
  2. Hey everyone! My name is Pauline, I'm 22 and so far I've got 21 jumps, all at DeLand, Florida. How did it start? I've always had "the Peter Pan dream", just never saw myself skydiving.. ...so I started flying planes instead, but found out that that wasn't gonna make me happy at all. Lucky for me though, my flying took me all the way from my home country (The Netherlands, Europe) to sunny Florida. And there, by accident, I bounced right into the windtunnel! And the smile of my first "real" flying has never left me. After some hours in the tunnel, and meeting lots of jumpers from all over the world, I just thought; "Why NOT take this to the sky?!" Even though I'm still a little afraid of the door, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Most of the people at the DZ are really cool, and didn't mind making silly jumps with a young and inexperienced person like me. I feel like I've truly learned a lot in little time. My last jump was in november last year, and ever since I've needed all my money for boring stuff, or to pay flights to Florida to be with my boyfriend here. Boohoo... The rest of this year I'll be in cold rainy Europe again, but I plan on bringing enough money with me to get up in the air again, AND face to of my other fears: learning how to pack and doing a low hopNpop....brrrr Hope to talk to you all soon! ------------------------------------- I can bent minds with my spoon..
