Good but i have had too replace it two times in the past two years and the 3rd is also starting to fuck up. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I can tell you the exact instance I believe life starts. It is when the sperm meets the egg and it begins to reproduce. What is the exact moment between the first and second, or second and third trimester that makes it, at the instant, a baby? If there is not one (and there is not) life starts at conception. Some people argue that if it can not survive outside of the mother, it is not a baby, but what 1 month old can live without any assistance (feeding and shelter) outside of the mother. What is the difference between killing a baby the day before it is due and throwing it in a dumpster 5 minutes after it is born? Life starts at conception. Ending that life on purpose is premeditated murder in my eyes. I understand that miscarrages (unintentional) happen and that is a shame, but so do things like Sudden Infant Death Syndrom and that is a shame to. Don't take a childs life on purpose. Your killing someone and there are loads of people waiting to adopt that life inside of you. edited to add Do you honestly believe a fetus that you can verify has Downs Syndrom is not alive? I don't know. This is an issue that I am not sure on. So I find my self arguing both sides in my head. I have heard some Muslim clerics say that it is not a human baby until the begging of the 3rd trimester. Some believe that is when the soul enters the form of the humane that is when it becomes a life. Some believe that life starts when the hearth starts beating for the first time, and many like you believe life starts at the very second the sperm fertilizes the egg. The concept of a soul and what god would want you to do is strictly dependent on perspective, the culture, and people you grew up with. So I play devils advocate on some issues just so I can find out how are you so sure of your views. I am not sure at all. I can’t tell you that there will be no repercussions and I can’t say that there will be any. I do appreciate everyone’s views it helps me see why people feel the way they do. I am selfishly happy not to be a woman. Cause when the time comes if ever I can say I support you no matter what you decide and feel like I have done my duty, yet have I? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Thanks for the Sexed but my point was when do cells become life? Some believe life start at the moment of conception, some believe it is after the first trimester, some don’t care if the baby is near due. The point is for it to be a crime it is not based on your personal belief or mine. We have no way of determining when life begins. If you do consider any group of cells life then back to my original post we will go. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I think it’s different for everyone. You mentioned relationships. I thinks lies are unforgivable. I am not going to fool my self that I have an honest relationship when someone has lied. I deserve someone who will be honest and loyal if they are not then to the relationship is dead. When I have been lied to or manipulated in the past that person simply is dead to me. I don’t waist anger or any emotion on them. I also wouldn’t piss on them to put a fire out. They simply become a mistake. I have seen people with great honest relationships why would anyone not think they deserve the same? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I think it is up to the woman and my job is only to support her no matter what her decision. If I were a woman I would abort. We do have some sort of definition of normal as most animals do. In the animal kingdom the weak or un-normal (I am tired and can’t find the right word) die sometimes at the hand of the parents. Life is though enough just dealing with what is expected. I don’t see a problem with that either, I don’t need to feel good about my self, and I don’t claim to know what god would want me to do. So yes I would do what serves my family and me best, as long as it was not passed the first trimester. Selfish like ALL OF US I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

There is a lot of good advice on here. I will only add that once you’re at the range and practicing you will most likely (if you like your hearing) be using some sort of ear plugs. I practice with no earplugs as well just for a bit. I think being used to the noise makes you a more accurate shooter. Just a suggestion. Practice, practice, practice this is not much different then practicing your EPs before every jump. You hope and pray you never have to use it but if you do you want to do it right and quick. My personal defense weapon is a Glock. Love it. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

OK, what, in your opinion, is that? (world unity) I am not trying to be a smart ass but you know he is one in the Senate who co-autored a bill that would take .9% of the US GNP and give it to the UN to fight world proverty. I don’t get it I really don’t anymore. Outrage for spending our money to help world poverty pisses you off more then spending a lot more on a false war, destroying are economy, killing brown people, and killing our troops. Why? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Exactly, a speech that said and meant absolutly nothing. But it made someone feel good. Just like many/most speechs from both sides I was thinking about this during a lengthy drive yesterday because I've been having inklings of agreement with the folks who don't listen to Obama speak, but rather dismiss them outright as pretty but empty rhetoric. Here's why I mostly disagree. Without fail, most recent Presidents have made campaign promises that they simply couldn't follow through on. Whether it's a free pass to gays in the military that gets watered down to "Don't ask, don't tell" or a promise of sweeping educational reform that becomes a failed "No child left behind" program, it is almost guaranteed such that the ideals touted on the campaign trail will be diluted by compromise. Additionally, if a candidate were to spend all his time discussing minutia like the ins and outs of his particular tax reform program, he'd be seen as an unfit leader with too narrow a view and no grasp of the big picture. Granted, the level of detail most people seem to want is of the, "What will you do for ME?!" variety, but I think you and I agreement that the opinion that promises of specific relief or welfare of any variety (social or corporate) is entirely too patronizing and shouldn't be the primary basis for electing our highest leader. This is where I think Obama succeeds. He's trying to get the job of President of the United States. The President steers the ship in the direction he thinks it should go, but has underlings who translate his ideals into policy. Do I think we need a CPA as President because he needs to be able to write a balanced budget? No. I think the President should have a grasp of the complexity of such a document, and the wisdom to direct people to spend in a manner most closely mirroring his ideals. So what we're really voting for (if we want a good leader, not a good source of concessions) is someone who can motivate a people and lead them in a positive direction. This "empty rhetoric" so many accuse Obama of is actually the opposite...it's him giving us his resume and highlighting his view of our nation and it's place in the world (foreign policy being one of the most important functions of the Presidency). With his skills as an orator and his ideals regarding treatment of others, I gotta say I think he'll be a fantastic improvement over the foreign policy failure currently residing in the White House or the increasingly lockstep twin who wishes to succeed him. Why do I think this? In part it's because he *isn't* falling prey to the accusations that his words are empty of any detail. Instead of buying our votes with promises of handouts, he's selling himself to us...giving us a better idea of who he is and how he thinks things should work from a big picture perspective. I appreciate that, but can respect that not everyone else will. Blues, Dave Just an excellent post. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I think that’s what it all comes down too. Not just in this discussion but most relationship problems and how you threat others has a lot to do with the way you feel about your self. I can understand if people get pissed in an airplane or some where the other person’s size actually effects you directly. However when you see people with so much hate for people they don’t even know or just for the reason that they’re not skinny it says a lot more about the hater then the fatty. But there is one thing I am trying to figure out what is considered fat? Do we go by the medical definition? Are they just repulsed by the people who are so fat that they can’t even walk fast? I guess I should have asked what everyone means by fat. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

The way the military spending is set up is simply fucked. Basically if you do not use this years budget you lose it for the next. So at the end of the fiscal year (09) there is this rush to buy things any thing just so the budget is spent to the last penny. If they do not spend it and next year they actually need there full budget they will not have the cash to use. So lots of money is waisted. They need to change the way it’s done from the ground up. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

If he is the father then yes. His relationship with his ex-wife has no bearing on his responsibility to his children. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Short answer is events that happens in the past. Most Iranians are Sheya Muslims which means they pray 3 times a day and Ali is considered the first Imam while the Sunnie Muslims believe he is the 4th. Even before that the Arabs were viewed as barbaric and nomads and Iran viewed it self as cultured and civilized. There is some real racism that still very much exist today. Iranian most of them do not like Arabs and still view them as classless, barbaric people whit nothing but oil. This view is so strong that unlike my self most Iranians are in agreement with Israel and its tactics. They don’t even try to defend what they do they simply hate the Arabs. The Iranian government does not represent what the majority of the people think. Oh almost forgot this. On the Arab side they view us as Najes (which means dirty in religious terms) mainly because we are not Sunni. I don’t agree. I think some aspects have to do with culture but the main issue is we have is oil. Because we have oil there is no force or a since of need for the country to work on having more exports. That combined with corrupt religious leaders who are also political leaders is the main problem for Iran. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2008/08/iran-archaeology/del-giudice-text Got this months Nat. Geo. and guess what country they decided to write about Yep Iran Here is a link to the article in case you are interested. I really hope the people who argue with me take the time to read this. Not only will it give you a better idea of who we are, it gives some history of things that have happened. I found it very well written, and the writer was very good at describing such things as taroof which is a cultural thing and very hard to explain Off course all the nuances of a whole country specially one as diverse and big as Iran can not be summed up by an article, but IMHO Natgeop as always has done a good job. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Ignoring right or wrong? Then what are we debating? I think we all understand that the US has the most powerful army, I think we know we have enough nukes to set the world a fire the one thing I am arguing is right and wrong. I have even said before that if you believe that we are the ALPHA dog of the world and do what we want with only concern for our self then great you have it right. You will get no argument with me that we are the TOP DOG. What we are arguing or at least me and some others is that we are hypocrites. When we criticize Iran (for Ex.) and say they are a violent nation we are full of shit. That’s just crap to feed the sheep. The reality is we want control and when we want something we will make excuse, lie, and kill to get it. So for me it is about discussing right and wrong. If your replay is fuck we do what we want because we can then there is no debate is there? My problem is when you have people thinking somehow we are such better people and the concept that were the good guys and they’re the bad guys. Were the guys with the bigger guns simple as that. Please don’t come to me with the Bullshit line that we are spreading freedom. It’s all about the Benjamin’s always has been always will be. That’s what we are killing people for. To me that’s fucked up. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

No my argument is that we do things that are much worst and cause much more people to lose homes and lives and still think we should sit on our high horse thinking we are superior and the bringers of liberty. I think we are a bully who only cares for it self much like a corporation with an army and I think that needs to change for our own survival. Isreal Is an illegal state off course we only like to give the UN legitimacy when they agree with us. Yet another sign of hypocrisy. What I say and have always said is the same standard must be kept for all. You can’t say killing is wrong but ok when we do it. Surly you can see the flaw in that. So do we. Why is it only wrong when they do it? Wooooosh Look at a map look where all our troops are. To the left to the right. How many Iranian troops are in Canada, or how many Iranians war ships are of our shore? We traveled how many thousands of miles yet we are going to pretend they want to pick a fight? Yet no continuations of the war was mentioned in the UN only WMD and the threat of an eminent threat. Not to mention that members of the same organization have come forward since then to say it was all bulls hit the decision was made regardless of the facts. So we killed and murdered inocent people because are president wanted to and that’s some how ok and should be forgiven. Can you think of any terrorist attack that destroyed a whole nation and cost hundreds of thousands of lives? Why is it ok when we do it how do you justify that? I’ll mention them all and you will try to justify them. Guess what a war is only justified when someone has attacked your land or your people, other then Afghanistan and the WW can you mention one war where the united states home land was attacked where we took defensive military action? No we usually travel thousands of miles away from our boarders to start shit with people because we don’t want them to live a cretin way. How arrogant and close minded is that? What gives us that right? I can put up all you want its actually easy when historical facts back up my claims. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Easy question - how is it not being the aggressor when Iran says that Israel should be wiped out. How exactly is that bending over? You might have weird ideas about sex to if that is bending over. 1. Iran has no history of a preemptive attacks Israel invented them and has threatened to do so again. 2. Iran has no troops around us and has takin no action against the US, Yet Iran is surrounded by US forces. 3. Iran has oil which the US wants, if we can lie once to start a war what makes you think we do not do it again. 4. Iran has no history of invading another country both Israel and the US tend to have no issue with that. They start a war once every few years it seems. As for what has been said I truly hope you know there is a big difference between words being spoken, and actual bombs being dropped. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I played it a bit I was what the heck was I the cow looking dude and a druid, but I didn’t really get in to it way too many quests. I don’t have the patience for it so I had it for a month got to L27 and then just stopped playing. I can see why people would love it it is done very well, just not my thing. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Babysitting? You shattered the entire country to pieces... no, you are right, the US are the real victims what a burden. The biggest surprise is the selective memory that people have. The reason we invaded Iraq was because of WMD, and possible nuclear capability and the eminent threat that imposed. Remember the UN speech? The so-called mobile laboratories? All the other reasons were thought up after we fucked up or the reasons were proven to be false. The inspectors were right we did not listen so we could invade. We went from being told that we are just about to be attacked to hey Saddam was a bad guy (who we supported). What the fuck! no wonder we are in the shit that we are, people can’t or don’t even want to admit facts that can be seen and verified just by doing a simple search on-line. Not to mention most Iraqis think life was better under Saddams rule. But I guess they asked for it being brown and all. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Agreed. Bush is protecting interests, though, not actively thinking about putting Islam all over the world. There is some difference there. I hope you can see that. I can see that but I hope you see more then just words. When you look at action we have more uninvited Christians (American) Bases and solders on Muslims land. This is a big problem and I can see why every Muslim government would be nervous. In the past 8 years we have lost respect and rightfully so. We can not blame the Iranian government for doing every thing they can so we understand that they will hit back if we decide to reach out and touch someone. I also can understand that they should not just bend over because the US or Israel think so. It is ridiculous to think that they should. I don’t think it is a crime to not like us or not agree to everything that we request especially when we are the aggressors. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

They are. They're just not out there actively promoting it. We have an Evangelical president who states that he talks to god and his actions show that he is definitely filling the "lots of war" prophesies. So how sure are we that true believers wouldn't bring the end of the world just so they could met Jesus? I don’t know I just know we have crazy fucks every where they are not just Muslims or Iranians. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
