Why should I have to sell my parent's home or sell off their business? because they're dead and don't need it anymore...     The new Prime Minister, Mario Monti, was appointed senator for life last Thursday and almost immediately tapped for the PM job. He now has filled his cabinet with unelected members of the financial establishment. Who is this guy? Well he was born in Italy, but his family moved to Argentina right after the war (we all saw that movie right?). He did his Grad work at Yale (do they allow foreigners in the Skull and Bones society?), is the European Chairman of the Trilateral Commission, and a leading member of the Bilderburg group. Get your tin foil hats folks I hear he's promising to make the trains run on time. Things that make you go HMMMMMM and makes you wonder who the Right Wing here will appoint Dictator for Life when they take the government down with GOAT FUCK STUPID policies they have been running with since 1981. What you don't get is the porkulous will ultimately hurt the economy by taking 750 BILLION FUCKING DOLLARS OUT OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR! That chicken's gonna come home to roost shortly.     It's not taxed by the Feds twice, and certainly nowhere near 55%. What most people don't understand is stupid laws like this one remove the incentive to be successful. They penalize the very people we need to be entrpreneurs. United for a Fair Economy ...Fuckin' amazing . Talk about dumb and proud of it.     I would posit I am in a FAR higher tax bracket than most of the usual suspects here in SC... I look at things like taxes that pay for education.. and roads and services that many of us use as the COST of living in a civilized society. Just because the right wing wants people to be dumb as dirt and proud of it, it does not mean that I will not do anything I can to forstall the coming IDOCRACY that the rePUBIClowns want in this country. It's exactly your kind of right v. left thinking that will ultimately doom this country. We're only in a higher tax bracket than most here because we're older and have more things to tax.     I've decided to keep my mouth shut and ride it out until November 30th. I want that last check. I understand why they don't accept 2 week notices. I sell new construction, custom homes. It takes at least 60-90 days of work before I can actually make the sale. No point in having someone who is leaving in 2 weeks pretend they'll be there when it's time.     It seems I find myself in a good position of having found new employment while still employed. (I can count on one hand the number of times in my life that's happened). Here's the rub...my boss has been very good to me over the last 2 1/2 years. I know from prior incidents that 2 week notices are not honored and you are asked to leave immediately. It's a corporate thing. I'd like to stick around until the end of the month and get some of my commissions. At the same time I don't feel comfortable leaving my boss without much backup. If I say something to her I risk being politely escorted out the door. If I keep my mouth shut I can work 2 more weeks and get another pay, but I'll be leaving her short staffed.
