Unless you know all of the characteristics of the aircraft you have a pretty good chance of augering yourself and any passengers. Be thankful you learned to skydive and use that equipment for what it was originally designed for...or not. Same oil boom happening here in Ohio. Can't tell if fracking is safe only because I can only go by what I've read in the local publications and it's clear both sides have an agenda, but Ohio has needed this influx of money for a long time. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

If you're sick it's one thing. I wouldn't want to go through what the medical community would want me to unless there was a real good chance of survival. In that manner we treat animals better than people. Taking your life because you are unhappy is just selfish. The damage you do to the people who love and care about you is inexcusable, and sets them up to follow suit. He was a great ball player. I'll leave it at that. Please don't dent the planet. Funny you shouold bring this up. Was watching a PBS report on the restoration of the San Joachin River. Back in the 30's, in an effort to irrigate arid lands the SJR was dammed off, to the detriment of the Chinook salmon population. Now, after almost 60 years we need to spend millions to undo the damage and put the burden on farmers to find a way to be profitable with less water. I now have a better understanding of why the State of California is broke. Every time we get involved in trying to affect change in nature we make it worse. Please don't dent the planet. Not sure how I feel about the announcement by Obama is Afghanistan yesterday. I have a problem with this part of it... Obama spoke of a "negotiated peace," and said his administration has been in direct talks with the Taliban. "We've made it clear that they can be a part of this future if they break with al Qaeda, renounce violence, and abide by Afghan laws,"(emphasis mine) he said. What's the old saying...wish in one hand. I am glad that we have a fairly clear road out of that hell hole. Still, negotiations with Karzai is a slippery slope. Add the Taliban to the mix and I think you've got shit stew. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

I suffered from the "half not paying their fair share" delusion until I realized that we'll probably be chanting about that fantasy as the incoming train collides with our reality. There have always been those who give and those who take, and it is going to require a huge effort from those that give. Personally, I don't see it happening in my lifetime. I'm talking to Rox about buying a gun...a real gun. Not the 22 pea shooter we have now. When "austerity" becomes a reality I'm thinking we'll be looked upon as the "haves".
