I need some help! **Sorry this is so long, I wanted to express my true emotions. (Damn women!)** I am currently in school trying to complete my CIS/Network Administration degree. Over the last 3 years everything has been a complete and total breeze for me up to this point and I am now about to lose my freaking mind, blow a gasket or take someone else out...I am in the second phase of my Windows 2003 classes; 'Managing and Maintaining Microsoft Windows 2003 Server Environment' and my teacher does not necessarily teach the class, but instead has set us free to read/absorb and then be tested over the material. Bascially he treats us as if we were taking the Microsoft Cert. exams. I took one of the most difficult tests I have ever taken last night AND it was open book. No chance in hell that I would have passed it not have been open book. The class average was 62 and on top of that he added 10 pts. for all of us..basically the tests are now being geared toward the Micorsoft Env. and all the questions are case scenarios where I have to decide how to set up the Network, utilize MMC when needed, Active Directory, blah blah blah. Basically one question is an entire paragraph and it takes literally 10 minutes per question. I have completely lost all faith in myself that I can maintain my current GPA, which I have BUSTED my ass to get in the first place, and come out with an A as I have over the years. I am not retaining the information what-so-ever, I can't focus on it and I am doing nothing but getting totally stressed out and creating an attitude of 'wanting to be a quitter'. How can I study for these tests and actually retain the information and learn it and then put it work during the tests so I can pass this damn class?? I need some serious tips/advice. I am losing it and being so close to finishing I don't want to give up, but I have lost all my confidence and interest to be honest with you. How do I study!??? I read the stupid chapters and goodness I can only keep so much information stored upstairs but obviously it is not sinking in with me...Is there no easy way? Suggestions please!!??? Do it Again! I am all for what PeacefulJeffrey suggested...I would make closing pin and/or beaded hemp necklaces. In fact you could start out by making me a choker with some blue and purple cat eye beads in the center... You could write a novel about a hot guy stranded on a deserted island and suddenly a big old pirate ship crashes and just so happens to be carrying the King's daugher as the mean pirate's hostage...then the mean pirate, hot stranded guy and the King's daughter get involved in a vicious love triangle...twist the ending though and make the pirate and the hot guy end up sending the girl out to sea and then the two boys hook up. I can't believe it has been an entire month...it feels like an eternity has passed. One month ago today, Nathan Gilbert tragically passed away. Please continue to keep Katie, Nate's family & friends in your thoughts and prayers. Now, the reason for my post; Sweet Katie has created a book that has been dedicated to the memory of Nate entitled, "Remember When". The pages in the book are being filled with the most heartfelt, humorous, beautiful and personal "Remember When" stories about Nate that each of you hold dear. The book is going to be passed around our skydiving community so that each of you who were blessed enough to have known Nate, even if by a chance passing, would please share your personal "Remember When" story and help us fill the pages with happiness and loving memories. I am honored to be the starting point of this magical journey. The book will begin its travels with the WFFC. We will be arriving late this evening and during our stay, the book will be with me at all times waiting for each of you, to fill the pages with your own "Remember When". If you don't sign the book at the Convention there will be many more opportunities and other events. This little book has a long journey ahead and it will find it's way to each of you that wish.... No you are very right. If you do not have a will the house and everything in it will go through Probate and yes that means the state gets it. Everyone should have some sort of will like the other poster was saying...so you can avoid having this happen. I never thought about it until recently when tragedy struck so close to home.
