Thanks Cliff....we were posting at the same time. You may not remember me but I met you in Rantoul last year and purchased the current Cypres we are discussing on this forum. Karen has been emailing me over the last several weeks and been very helpful in finding something by September. Thank you for the additional information. I love learning about things I should have known....but didn't. It is good to hear that I am 'up to code' through this month. Thank you.

Derek, Afraid to jump with out an AAD not necessarily, but more my choice to jump with one. I do not 'rely' on it as a part of my skydiving, but do understand where it 'could be' life saving, under certain situations. (There have been a few instances I have decided not to turn it on) My point of grounding myself is that I choose to jump with an AAD, so if I do not have one that is workable I won't jump that weekend. I understand some people choose to jump without. Staying in point of Gus' subject, I wanted to explain this instance in question about repacking a reserve for a couple of months on my current Cypres and that I was informed it will expire before my next repack, and I could make a decision/purchase prior to expiring, and that I would not continue to jump the in date reserve repack without resolve....then that is what I will do per my conversation with the repack rigger. I just thought your information about manufacturer instruction was very useful. When I called SSK in July they said it was OK to repack and jump until Sept but I did not review why. Good to know and they are being very helpful in finding a replacement. As I just purchased a new Sabre2 my funds are low so I am looking for a short term solution until I can purchase a new Cypres2 next year. Sure I can jump with out one at my DZ if I want, but I prefer to have one. There's Always Room for Jell-O!

Hey Guys and Gals, I am the Customer. My Cypres expires in September. The rigger that packed my reserve in July is a personal friend who had some very good training prior to his certification. In fact, one of his "teachers" happens to be my rigger that I have used for the past 6 years. However, since he was not available at repack time, I felt very comfortable asking someone, that he helped train, to do this one reserve repack. The new rigger informed me of the exact date my Cypres would expire and noted it on my card. He knows that I will not jump it after expiration, and is perfectly comfortable grounding me if I happen to miss that date. I immediately verified the expiration date with SSK whom I purchased the Cypres from. I can certainly understand the riggers liability if a rig gets jumped with his seal on it and the Cypres has expired. I would not dream of putting my regular rigger or this new rigger in harms way by violating that trust. In addition this will not be necessary because I would not jump with an out of date Cypres and would ground myself. Currently, I am shopping for another Cypres and have asked my long time rigger to assist if he has anything available. He is aware of all of this information that I am posting. Sunday, we discussed scheduling a repack in September with the new/used Cypres, as well as some other modifications that were recommended by him. I have been shopping for a Cypres since the July repack and have found a few possible purchases. I am not quite sure why this specific incident is worth posting about but I do understand that the subject, in general, is important. What an incredible weekend!!!! All of the families visiting were so nice and a joy to get to know, party, and jump with. Everyone worked so hard to put on the Reunion and it showed in all the happy faces. I am already thinking and looking for stuff for next year. Maybe if we gather things along the way it won't be so tough just before, on time or the pocket book. Antigua Yes, lets set an annual date!!! I was disappointed at first when Pepe suggested not having it Cinco this year....but he was right!!!! The weather could not have been better! I know there is never a guarantee but early May has not been kind in the past for good weather. On the other hand I have always loved the Cinco de Mayo theme/ Delfina's birthday. Either way can we extend an extra day to the weekend as well. Maybe start on a Thursday??? I can start the numbers by saying that 600 Jell-Os were gone by Sat. Midnight. 200 glow necklaces to attendees, and the first 6+ Liters of Tequila went through the machine quick. Shaggio how much did you refill after that?....and should we deduct a Liter of that for your personal consumption ;-). Can't wait to hear the jump numbers but I know everyone got their groove on! Katiebear is correct. Check out the zip code 29730. That will give you Rock Hill airport located 17 miles from DZ. Storm from the south has been blowing through today and tomorrow. Local News weather has it for upper 80's day and mid 60's night with winds 5 to 10 Friday thru Sunday.....I think we will have a great weekend....no bad mojo for posting that I hope There's Always Room for Jell-O!

Nito may have some other idea for you, just noting if he was thinking of that one outlet it is not available. I would still suggest talking to James at Manifest about the list and possible availability for the DZ hookup and/or call Gus directly to see what his solution was for you. I know a couple of people driving in reserved what was available early and don't know if that has changed. There's Always Room for Jell-O!

Nito, Remember the one outlet #2 I believe, that "appears to be broken" is actually running the well pump for water. So it looks empty but is not available. Hopefully you are thinking something else!!! They also have a backup list in manifest for slots I believe? Good luck!!!!! There's Always Room for Jell-O!

I believe all the electrical slots are taken. Even the ones close to the hangar for the vendors. Best to check with manifest but I haven't heard of anyone canceling there hook-up at this point. We are definitely getting this boogie started. Lots of cool stuff coming together. Dive Balm has always been generous in the past, but we just received their contribution to the boogie bags (which are looking pretty sweet)........Family Reunion Logo wrap! Margarita Machine on order, Tequila machine getting 'primed' this weekend, kool koozies from the Hellfish, All things that 'glow', Jell-O molds arrived today, a great amount of prizes and giveaways, Delsur is setting up Accelerated Station with breakfast, lunch and dinners! I heard Pink Mafia is bringing some beaded necklaces....I likie! Trailer row is getting it's groove on and Skydive Carolina is in full swing with prep for skydivers, campers, and vendors, PD demo chiming in. I hear we have a coffee/smoothie vendor for your pleasure. Mmmmmm cappuccino, mocha, latté, frappe stuff. I can smell the beans. I wonder if they want my recipe to the Super Spunk Smoothies....mmmm. Well preparations have begun. I just raided Billar's treasure chest and got Mucho Goodies for the boogie. Tequila machines is being cleaned and filled with the coldest nectar you will find!!!! Corazon is shopping as I post. Shaggio is still trying to Pimp his ride for the event....We might just have to make it an interactive activity for the boogie. Rick, did you get to talk with manifest about RV spots? I will be there this weekend and will check electric connections as well as follow up on any trailers on "The Row" not in use boogie weekend. May give us a few more options. "Fresh Water" (and I use that term lightly) tank fill should not be a problem and Potty pump guy is scheduled to come by on that Sat. if needed.
