  4. Hey! nice to meet someone on the same level... Don't count my freefall-time, but except for the 3 static-lines i did i should have about 1 Minute for each jump, so that makes about 47 minutes *g* way to go, that's right. and it just keeps gettin' better... have a nice... whatever! greetings Chronistin ************************************* http://www.wortwerkstatt.at/skydiving
  5. 1:1:0 for me. both could've been of better quality, but the jump was my 50th and I jumped my first Nitro, so I'm kind of satisfied. Greetings Chronistin aka Andrea ************************************* http://www.wortwerkstatt.at/skydiving

    Hi

Good Luck, Have fun, stay safe! oh, and you would probably get more responses in the skydiving-talkback-forum... Andrea ************************************* http://www.wortwerkstatt.at/skydiving
  8. such a shock... On your third jump! But after a while, it'll start to feel good: You did what was necessary. You can do it, if necessary. blue skies! Andrea ************************************* http://www.wortwerkstatt.at/skydiving
  9. Thanks for all the answers, interesting, I've never heard of a two-pin reserve before... I think I understand the concept, but I still can't picture it - will have to wait till I get to the dropzone, I guess. Hope it doesn't take too long until then... I'm starting to feel ground-sick Greetings Andrea || Chronistin ************************************* http://www.wortwerkstatt.at/skydiving
  10. Thanks for the answer - leading to new questions... ... I probably should know that, but WHY would you have 2 closing loops? Ooops, maybe this thread would be better in the gear section, sorry... ************************************* http://www.wortwerkstatt.at/skydiving
  11. No, please let's not discuss the cypres yes/no thing again... or at least, before the argument starts, could someone tell me what's the deal about Cypres 1-pin and 2-pin options? Thanks! Andrea || Chronistin ************************************* http://www.wortwerkstatt.at/skydiving
  12. They didn't tell me that ... guess it's a case of "bloody obvious"... ************************************* http://www.wortwerkstatt.at/skydiving
  13. yeah, but the orange color is gone when i leave dropzone.com & come back later... it would be great if it would stay for "unread" messages instead of "new since last visit" just a thought Andrea || Chronistin
  14. Most embarassing moment for my navigational skills: the jump when I made two 360° turns, getting nervous because I couldn't see the DZ... and then noticed that it was right there - I just never looked straight down Have fun, stay safe! Andrea || Chronistin

  16. You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows
  17. Closer to home, why don't you try one of Wuzi's Freefly-Courses in Klatovy? Great DZ, great people. I think the next one is in August... there should be some info at http://www.pink.at/
  18. *** EVERYWHERE!!! *** RUN AND HIDE! (my doctor says these fits of paranoia have become much lighter lately]

    PANIC!

I've been trying to read the forums for hours, always get error 404... by chance i found out that it's possible to get in through the backdoor (i.e. if you have the name of the forum) - but the number of new posts :-( (none) what shall i do with a day in the office (read: not jumping!) all day long without the dropzone forums? some things get very important, but don't notice until they're gone. hope it doesn't take too long to get everything reconfigured blue skies Andrea || Chronistin
  22. well, i guess i'm partly lucky, 'cause my whuffo boyfriend doesn't object to my being at the dz at least every other weekend, but... ... he likes to come with me and use the time between jumps for talking about things like friends and business and so on, which doesn't interest me at all at that time, and... ... the real big drawback is that he doesn't enjoy the evenings at the dz, which, for me, is a very important part... drinking beer and talking about every jump 'till you just can't remember which were your own ... guess yo have to take what you get ;-) Andrea || Chronistin
  23. no, I mean it's just not so much fun alone - but then, what do I know?
  24. no doubt: The Skyvan!!! (I guess other planes with back-exit would be as cool, but I haven't had the chance to try them yet)
  25. What makes skydiving definitely better is that you can do it alone - and it's just as much fun! Edited by chronistin on 5/28/01 04:57 AM.
