I met Laddie in the late 70s when we both worked at an electrical control panel shop in Pomona CA. He was a force, his stories were what prompted me to go out to Perris and learn to skydive.
I remember him telling me that he still jumped a PC because his back couldn't take the opening impact of a square as he had broken it in a hard landing celebrating his 500th jump by opening at 500 feet.
He was a stellar human and I wish i had known him better.
RIP to a fellow son of the Czech Republic. It was an honor to know him.
