Yours is almost a twin to mine. Very true and it's appreciated by me (most of the time, except for the times when I'm wrong about something and don't want to admit it, lol). Much less personal and that sucks...but I still come here to learn. I just don't post as often cause as someone pointed out, it gets to sounding like rec.com at times. Lol...and we didn't know what we were talking about, either...lol. I wouldn't have traded those days for anything, tho. I have an alibi. I was in a different state. I remember it very well, tho. The whole city of Atlanta got still and quiet for a couple of hours. Not much traffic and almost no noise. Pretty impressive for such a large city. I was only 15 years old and was working part time for Western Union downtown at the time. I guess that's one of those moments that a person never forgets. Lol..I'm not touching that one, lol... Yep...and expect it to sneak up on ya' when you least expect it. Trust me, here. Yep, it gets easier...but it takes time. Just hang in there. I use peppermint/cinnamon mints. Yeah, I gained a few pounds, too, but hey, I can lose weight - I don't wanna lose my life. That's the ticket...never ever ever give up giving up...It's been quite a while since I quit - successfully, I might add - and after all this time, I still have a little voice that tells me it's ok to smoke just one, every once in a while. The urge goes away pretty quickly, tho, when I realise why I quit. The reason has to be a valid one. I couldn't quit for others - I tried that - I had to do it for myself - and for some very selfish but extremely valid reasons...life or death. Literally...Listen to this very closely. I smoked 2-3 packs of menthol cigs for over 40 years, the last 10 years going to sometimes 4 packs a day. Now, at 13,000 feet, I have a hard time breathing. According to the dr.s at the VA hospital, I have caused sever damage to my body, resulting in 2 heart attacks, diabetes, sever shortness of breath and now have to use an inhaler (albuterol sulfate and lpratroplum bromide) four times a day for the rest of my life. I had a "slammer" once - a premature in the middle of a track....talking about hurt, wow. My chin touched my chest and a millisecond later my heels touched the back of my head. I felt like a pretzel for a week. But bottom line is, IMO, everyone had a few jitters at some point in time, whether he/she has 1 jump or 10,000 we all experience jitters sometimes.
