Why are you postwhoring while everybody else at your house is doing serious stuff like attending a coach course? That's just not right
-
Ok, well you can have my old cubicle now that they gave me an office. So now when I feel like screaming.. I just close the door..

Canopy Traffic, Obstacles and Decisions

Jeff, we are.. I'm glad you're ok. Is it going back this week or next? We don't want to worry about you another weekend -
Hmm.. I am not a techie.. I'll leave that to other people. I'll watch a rerun.

You're really weird.. but so am I . I am officially pissed right now, I have a coach course tonite, so I am gonna miss Friends...

F&$%^CK anyone got a trailer, for cheap?
-
Um no, but that would be my excuse.. "Um.. sorry, yeah, I have these urges lately"
-
I don't have issues or anything (duh.. maybe I do.. ha ha), but I feel like climbing on top of my desk right now and start saying F$£%CK, SH"£$"T, and all sorts of weird stuff. I want to see how the people would react here.. (FYI I work in an office and have to show up in a suit 9 out of 10 times... ) Just a brainfart.. you can ignore me now.. By the way, I am not angry about anything if you were wondering, but I just want to do this little experiment. After this I would just sit down, and calmly go back to work.

Started with AFF...Finishing with Static Line
vdschoor replied to somethinelse's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hi there. I started off with static line and I think the points made above are things to think about and go by. It's just a different training method then AFF. You're talking about "such a low altitude", but you're not really low. They drop you at 3K or 3.5K and your parachute is open within seconds of leaving the plane (1001, 1002, 1003.. check parachute ) For me it was the only way I could afford it, and I thought it was very cool. It takes a little longer before you are jumping from 12000 ft, but who cares? you're jumping. With regard to your training and instructor involvement. I found that a very positive experience. I see AFF beeing trained, and having gone through the static line program I can sort of comment on both I think. My instructor would sit in the door for as long as he could see me pretty much (we only had a 206 at my dz) and could give me an amazing amount of feedback. When I got to 45 second freefall jumps instructors would sometimes jump with me, but it was more important for them to see me fix things fast. For example an unstable exit from the plane, was I able to fix that within a couple of seconds, stuff like that. I would say go for it, if this is what you can afford, do it. Have fun! Iwan -
OMG.. you guys are off your 4 times a day doing "it" schedule?
-
hmm I dunno about that, IT is driving me nuts right now.. damn computers.
-
I will be there to get it.. if I can keep up with that tandem that Connie jumped with on Saturday with no problem, I can keep up with a spinning Lummy. Iwan

I used my flatbed, an Epson 1660. It comes with a little adaptor to scan slides. I am not all that excited about the quality of the scans though, but the slides themselves look amazing. It's my first experiment with them (and with the fisheye on my 35mm camera) but more will follow for sure!! Iwan

You might not be impressing him, but you sure are impressing me!! ha ha 500 jumps in a little over 1 year in the sport.. that is pretty impressive to me. congrats!!

This was a couple of weeks ago, probably late March or something. I had the roll of film still laying around and finally dropped it off 2 weeks ago. Iwan

Look at these dz.commers here.. Holding hands in the skies over Byron, and yes.. Cornholio is on his belly!! This was a first test with slide film, the scans aren't all that great but the slides itself look amazing.. The "old fashioned" stuff is still cool too Specially because my fisheye is now a real fisheye instead of something halfway when it is on the digital Rebel. Oh.. small detail, the big shadow on Cornholio's back, is me triggering the camera with my right arm, instead of with the tongueswitch (which failed on me)

Partay Pooper!! Just for the jump Lany, don't worry.. since you're not jumping you can take your clothes off if you really want to.. Why would you, actually?
-
very nice container!! I like the white pop top, but it won't look as nice for long. You sit against the walls in the skyvan and stuff like that and it gets dirty fast. On mine my whole reserve container is white, and still looks good though.. just not new anymore. Congrats! What are you putting in there? Iwan

I know.. cuz you're that kinda Dutchman.. and you know I'll put Geno in your slot in a heartbeat.. I know... I'll shut up now and be quiet from now on...
-
Don't be telling me what to do and where to be, you're not the boss of me!! Just kidding of course, I'll wear anything necessary to make the dive work.. Iwan
-
That doesn't make sense to me Skye.. It's "Mother's" day, and YOU have to sacrifice your time ? Nothing to be sad about Skye.. you're doing the right thing... be there and leave when you have to. Iwan
-
OMG.. Chopchop.. you are calling GFD's boobies flappy? Dude, you're lucky you guys are good friends any other lady would have slapped yo' ass. I'll wear clothing, I'll sink out if I don't (that is if I am in the vidiot-slot) If I am not in the videoslot, I am wearing clothing too, since there will be people docking on my legstrap from what I understand.. hands that close to the "equipment" and a-hole.. uhm no... (at least not when skydiving)
-
I'm not going... Of course I'll be there!!! I'll bring some pie too, to celebrate it afterwards.
