Ahhh the memories.. - finally meeting skybytch - my first Amazon hug, while I was carrying 2 rigs walking into the Perris skydiving school - spending 15 hours on the road with Shannon, Geno and Craig, cracking up about the crazy things that were going on. - not getting pulled over going over the Grapevine.... - first dinner at IHOP - finally enjoying fast landings - 3 ways in the tunnel with the Shannon and the ass grabba (dgskydive) - making Nic Roti the happiest guy on the dropzone, just for letting him jump one of my rigs (it used to be Johnny Luv's, his uncle) - laying on the net in the tunnel laughing, so tired I couldn't stay up with BillVon and Deuce anymore. - meeting more of the cool people from this site Uhm.. when are we going back again?

Umm.. i think you're in deep shit now dude.. even though the 40th was supposed to be a shocker, I still think the 34 is a couple of years off too.. in the wrong direction.

Hmm.. Where did I put that Tunnel tape with Dom in it for almost 20 minutes Ha ha.. Craig filmed a lot of our tunnel time and you're in it all the time, geeking the camera instead of paying attention to the skydive and remembering the points... oops, now I remember it right.... that was me actually forgetting the points and everything. thanks a lot for the good time in the tunnel, all the stuff you taught me, and overall around the whole boogie. It was really cool to meet you. We already decided that we can't stay away from Perris too long, you'll see us back there soon.

30:16:3 30 minutes in the tunnel (it was actually more thanks to Dom and everybody that wanted to fly with me in there) 16 nice skydives and beer for the first time in the tunnel, first time in Perris, first time that I had a really nice toe-dragging swoop I want to go back to Perris now!! Thanks to everyone that made this event happen!

I am prety conservative about safety, and I am still a newish jumper. However, I always have positive remarks about my flying...and I have broadened my skills in the tunnel. I would like to jump with others first on slightly smaller (4-10-ways) jumps first, so my skills can be assessed by one of the LOs. I will let you all decide whether or not I can handle that jump. If so, I'd LOVE to be on the jump...

The current record is a two point 15 way (set last Memorial Day at Perris). Minimum 16 way is needed to break the record. One point is all that's required. Last attempt was a 20 way I think in Byron, which didn't work out.. let's give it another shot! Who's in? Iwan

The day that last bit of fear (I would call it excitement though, not fear) goes away, post your stuff in the classifieds because you will become a danger to yourself and others. I think the real fear goes away and it gets replaced by excitement, adrenaline pumping, and this keeps you sharp. It comes and goes, if you take some time off, it will be back again, which is normal. For me it was back for a while when I first started jumping camera, when I did my first couple of jumps on my new canopy etc.. it comes and goes, but never really goes away I think. Iwan

I agree with CrazyIvan.. you just need to make a little list for yourself as to what you're going to be doing with it and decide what's best based on that. From your description it looks like both a desktop or a laptop would fit you, and I agree on Toshiba, they are awesome laptops. So does HP though (now that HP and Compaq are together) Don't have them sell you a top of the line notebook though, it looks like a 1000 bucks should be sufficient to get you a computer that does what you need it to, and more. What do you want to do with your computer? What brands does your local computer store (or best buy / circuit city) carry? It's funny, there are certainly some brands better than others, I've had a very good experience with the Sony Vaio, but others hate it. The reason I ask what are you going to do with it, is because if you want to do hardcore video and photo stuff, you might be better off buying a powerful desktop (or even a Mac) If you just want a computer to postwhore on dz.com and to send emails, get a laptop, with lower specs and save some money on what you buy.
