Sangiro - am I still the person to send Mug Shots to? If so, please change the "how to" because I keep getting emails. Thanks, man.

Yo Clay. When you use the Diamond .3 at altitude, do you get that "bend" effect of the horizon? I am ready to order that Diamond lens when I order our new camera. By the way, the lens is about $175 right now.

Hey everyone. I finally got 4 videos completely done and uploaded onto the website. One of them is from our Tennessee vacation this summer. You can find it here: http://www.jumpinduo.com/photos/pigeonforge02/ (look under "video") Another one is from our Florida vacation this past Spring. You can find it here: http://www.jumpinduo.com/photos/florida02/ (under "video") And two more on the HOBBIES page under skydiving. One of them is from our FL trip and some canopies at Richmond. The other one is a lot of my dad and brother doing S/L stuff. I got some good footage of them coming off the strut. You can find both of these here: http://www.jumpinduo.com/hobbies.htm (middle left) I hope you guys enjoy all of these and I'll be sending these to PilotDave's FTP Server.

Hey everyone. I am curious of what the difference is between Wide-angle and Fish-eye lenses. Is there much difference? Also, what is a good type of Fisheye if there is a big diff. Thanks.

protecting your camera in freefall - what's best?
mountainman replied to mountainman's topic in Photography and Video
Hey there everyone. I am curious to all of your opinions about what is the best way to have your camera mounted to protect it from everything. Is it best to have it in a Dbox? a Camera condom on a bracket? Vern, Kelly and I were all talking about this on Sunday and I am curious to all of your opinions. -
Yeah, I undestand this one. I found some riduculously low prices on some cameras and called them to find out how. They told me that was for "the camera only" and that it was several hundred more for all the accessories. You can certainly find great deals on that website, none the less.

I've said it before. I'll say it again: http://www.pricewatch.com is your friend. You'll find some great deals. Also check out http://www.pcworld.com and use the "product finder".

Thanks very much for the info guys. That Diamond .3 lens is pretty sweet! I can't believe that it's so small, yet has such a wide FOV and no barrel distortion. Thanks.

Hey everyone. Laura and I are going to get a camera and I am curious to what you guys like as far as wide-angle lenses. What is your favorite one and where can you pick one up? Also, if you can direct me to some good camera stores online, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Hey Chris...did you try "right clicking and save as"? That usually works much better than trying to watch it by clicking on it. Try that and then save it. -
Photoshop 7 has a bit of a layout tweak and some of the tools are a little easier to use due to this layout. For instance, when you use the "magic wand" or something like that, the settings are "right there" so you can change settings easily. Premiere 6.5 JUST started shipping, so I'm not sure about that one yet. I'll probably have it within a couple of days. When I do, I'll give a full update. I'm sure the professionals will be able to chime in more about the "technical" aspects of the improvements/changes since I'm pretty much a basic user of both.

I thought that is what they were. Thanks for the clearing up. :) http://www.brandonandlaura.com

Is the thumbscrew the one on the bottom of the camera that attaches it to the box itself? Thanks, Phree. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

Hey everyone (into computers, I guess)... After getting this new Studio MX, I was thinking about other software that I would like to get my hands on. Here is a list of some good ones I would like to try: Avid Xpress DV 3.5 PowerPack (next on the list) Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Adobe Premiere 6.5 I would use them to edit videos and photos. I am getting into it for some reason. and SWAT 3 (can't find it anywhere for cheap) So...what is your software wish list and what would you use it for?

JumpinDuo.com v6.0 is up and running (Flash show)
mountainman replied to mountainman's topic in The Bonfire
Hey Viking. Glad to hear that it was just Netscape that was giving you problems. -
Thanks for all the great replys guys! And to answer/clear up some things: I am NOT planning on jumping it any time soon. I am really just waiting more for my comfort/frequency level to go up so I can jump more regular and be better suited to handle a bad situation if one would arise. Good thinking on the PAL, Skreamer. You can certainly do a search with that PriceWatch.com website and insert "PC120 PAL" and you'll get some results. Just scroll past the cheaper stuff. You'll see when the cameras start. Thanks again for all the input.

mountainman replied to mountainman's topic in The Bonfire
Hey there everyone. Well, I haven't been jumping much lately due to being busy on the weekends with work, vacations, and Laura's ankle being sprained. Hopefully we'll be back up in the sky next weekend. I am craving some airtime. Anyway, since I've had all this extra time during the week, I've been making another website. Heh heh heh... This time, I used my new Macromedia Studio MX (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash) to create something new. Let me know what you think of it and the FLASH show. Hopefully you'll like it. (It is skydiving related, of course.) -
Great photos, Viking! Let me know when National Geographic gives you a call. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

Seems they also throw in a few other programs. Here is what a webpage about it says: Avid Xpress DV 3.5 StudentPack includes all the functionality of Avid Xpress DV plus the DV Filmmaker's Toolkit, Image Stabilization software, DigiDesign's AudioSuite filters, Illusion FX Pack, Discreet Cleaner EZ and now, Color Correction! http://www.brandonandlaura.com
