  1. Good call, Skymama..... -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  2. Hey man, if you want to make a not-as-expensive call to Paraquip, you could probably save some $$$. Laura and I just ordered our ProTracks for $240 each and then the Jumptrack software/link for $110. Then you can get helmets for great prices too. The owner (Steve Alexander) is a great guy and I highly recommend him. The Protracks wont be in till Oct 8ish, but you said you have awhile. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me or PM me. Good luck bro!!!
  3. I posted that "he was having a bad day". From what I have seen, Clay just posts to be funny all the time. I sure get a kick out of reading what he wrote. I guess I missed what made you so mad, Kay. What is the problem? -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  4. Hey, maybe HH can change your status (old hand, addict, etc) to asshole. That would be more fitting. Hehehe -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  5. Didn't I say above that it would be better with coach students since you can open lower and open more on a level alti?? Hmmm..... -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  6. It doesn't necessarily have to be during AFF jumps or anything. I think that it would be useful during those coach jumps before the A license where the two of you CAN pull closer in alti. That would give the newbie a more experienced look at what the landing pattern could/should be. For me, I have followed the expereinced people in the first couple times during the boogie so I could learn where/how to make my pattern. That really helped a lot!! Sorry bout the confusion. I'm off to class!!! -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  7. hehehe -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  8. Well, if both the I and the student are tracking, then there would not be a problem. As long as the student pulls, the I could turn and track. Then they could have something worked out where the I stayed in 1/2 brakes till the student comes down or is close enough for instruction. They could either let them use student gear (hell, they're getting paid) or have one or two rigs that are used solely for the instructors. I think that the financial input would more than payoff in instruction benefits in the longrun. Just my .02. -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  9. Completely in agreement! I think that once I get my instructor rating (in like 20 yrs), I am going to make it a point to jump with camera all the time. I know that at SGC (Xenia) they do that by default. However, at Richmond, you have to pay like $70 extra to get the video. What a crock of shit!!! That i like paying for an AFF level for every two that you get on video. Ah well......one day they will figure it out. -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  10. Hey all....I was wondering if anyone has seen or played THIS game. Let me know if you have or not. Could be just the thing to take away those rainy day blues.
  11. DOH!!! Sorry, Flyhi. I meant to say none of our instructors wear helmets with CAMERAS. I'm sorry. They all wear helmets all the time. Oops.... As far as them jumping a big canopy, I think that would be a good idea and they could open at about the same altitude (not at 2k while we're hangin out at 4.5k). I think that this would be great as a way to follow them in to see different landing patterns instead of figuring it out alone. Sorry about the helmet/camera confusion. I meant that if they had cameras, they could comment on body position and stuff like that. Ooops!
  12. those are some pretty cool pictures!! I sure wish that I had some freefall pictures of me. None of our instructors wear helmets, but I think that should be part of general instruction since it's such a good learning tool (and looks good too). -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  13. Yes...and thanks for asking. -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!

  17. I jumped the Safire 189 seven times and I jumped the 169 four times on the last day. The winds were pretty weird that day along with the clouds. I'm not sure if everyone thinks I'm trying to say my name is Luigi and I fly for Icarus, but I ordered what I feel comfortable on and will stick with it. -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  18. I have been wearing contacts ever since I started and have not had much of a problem with them. Only, I get stuff in them a lot which makes a problem when you are on jump run, but it normally comes out. Also, on my AFF VI, my goggles came off in freefall and I was lookin at my alti. I couldn't believe it, but my contacts didn't come out or move in my eye. They were really DRY though. -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  19. oh no, not this thread again. -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
  20. Here is my bit of "useful" knowlege........ Cubans speak the fastest of Spanish speakers at a blazing 400 words per minute. *shrug* I thought it was interesting since I am still hovering around 100 or so in Spanish per minute. -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!

  23. Nope.....no one was there from Cobalt. They had reps from Big Air Sportz (Brian Germain was there) and then Precision was there too. Our gear guy had all Icarus canopies to demo as well. -------------- Boogie pics coming!!!
