    Does your insurance have a rider for your "work stuff" or was it just covered under reguler homeowners/renters insurance since it's just a "hobby". Damn these days a couple of nice rigs, camera stuff etc, equals the cost of nice mid size car Gear used to be the cost of a nice 10 spd biscycle, still needed insurance though. R.I.P. R.I.P.

    Insurance companies play hardball worse than the IRS IMO not a good idea to have insurance that you can't collect on due to a failure to communicate. Insurance companies don't like to pay. Give them a excuse and they will take it. R.I.P.

    Not a insurance agent but we rec'd a six figure settlement from our insurance company Cost of Insurance coverage didn't increase. And we weren't cancelled R.I.P.

    Sometimes just the area that a person lives in can make renters insurance unavailable/to expensive due to a high crime rate/#claims in the area. You could try another insurance company or if you've moved that might also help in addition to being a little older From the pictures it looks like it took the fire dept a long time to get out there. Any guesses what caused the fire? Winter, faulty heating system or electical. Don't know the law but if the fire was caused by a defect in the home the owner may be liable and have the insurance to cover the renters losses. The pic of the rig is interesting reserve pilot chute spring, harness harware, just pieces of metal. Good news no one got hurt,

    I'm not a realatorreally But being a old fart we've seen interest rates for homes go from 6% to 14% approx to 4.5%. over a 40 yr span. Your seeing rapid inflation in the selling price of a home but the low interest rates are helping to keep the monthly payments from going thru the roof. Not sure what's going to happen when the rates go back up and people can't afford to buy a home at the higher interest rates. R.I.P.

    I just don't understand why after all these years we're seeing a rash of very very close elections. Wa state had approx 3 million voters and the final (maybe) spread was approx 150 votes. The new gov (maybe) is a women. Lucky for her (and me) my wife told me who to vote for. This post has nothing to do with politic's per se but what are the odds R.I.P. R.I.P.

    Agree. Did any major news sources pick this up? CNN had a 5 sec sound bite. Didn't make a big deal out of it. I'm hoping that the guy hasn't been sick. Kind of like RR. We had a guy at work who was a top dog and was able to hide his illness for years This post isn't about politic's, lots of people grow old , get sick etc. In spite of political party, wealth etc. R.I.P.

    Back in the day We used to work in a mom & pop motor rewind shop. With the new world economy these shops might be gone, but check your yellow pages, some of these old farts might still exist. If they do a quickie on their test bench with a pair of alligator clips will tell you if the motor needs a redo. Doubt if they would just replace the just the capacitor.probably just do a swap.     Hi SD I wouldn't have had a clue, why the tide was going out so quickly. You mom survived didn't forget and passed that knowledge on to you. I suspect that hard lesson learned won't be forgotten by the survivor's. Heard a "rumor" that some of the seismic stations in the US picked up the earth quake on their instruments, tried to broadcast a warning to the other side of the world but it didn't work. A real tragedy. That I hope i never hear about again in my life time R.I.P.

    Shit like that really makes me mad. Whats the point? They've already stolen what they wanted, but then they gotta ruin everything else?! Ugh. I wanna beat them up. Only kids break in steal and ruin stuff So Me thinks the bad folks are kids, and the cops either already know who they are (trail of destruction) loose lips etc and are hot on their trail. One kid will rat out the others. Hope they all get to do hard time with bubba R.I.P.
