  1. Thanks for that! I call them Fucking Safe and I don't like when ass holes get rude telling people in a packing area to move their boats so they have room to pack. People like that are just a fucking waste. That's not exactly the way to make friends with the students. I have heard this kind of thing on my DZ and I don't really approve of it. Also for those who get mad big canopies are in your way messing up your swoop please remember many times there is one landing area and this is for everyone to SHARE! Hook it and have fun but be safe. There are WAY to many deaths lately where people have a good main above their head. I would rather one of my friends have a reasonable wing loading then end up dead.
  2. I will be the first to say I do not agree with this. I know, hold on don't go getting all upset. Hear me out. I have never posted on DZ.com or anywhere else for that matter. However I do log on to read the incident reports at least once a week. I have had no desire to post anything with my thoughts. My reason for logging on and reading them here is because this is such a great tool for communication. By the time something gets to a magazine in incidents reports it is old news and they don't give as much information as I find on here. I like reading replys when someone helps with how to prevent an injury or death. One person I can think of that I tend to listen to is the Pilot guy. Mind you there are some very stupid and hurtful things said sometimes, I do realize this as well. I'm sure all of this came about after the murder/death last week. He is my thought on keeping out the journalist. I am about as computer stupid as they come and I figured out how to register and post. One thing I noticed while doing this is that everything has a drop down box. Someone not knowing anything about skydiving can very easily register. On a regular basis skydivers are the people in here reading and hopefully learning about incidents. I think only recently with the tragic death of this man last week has a lot of negative things come out. I think it is unfortunate to take away something that people use to help them in the sport. I know many people that read these are looking to gain knowledge but others are hear just to sir things up a bit. I guess for me anyway I can at least get on here and view again but it is too bad others can't/won't. I'm sure in time you will find many logins that there are no posts from just so people can view the incident reports.
