  1. I haven't read up on all the skydiving certs so I'm not sure what a "D" license is but to think that it can feel that good everytime is awesome!
  2. Hey, good idea! You can never be too careful. B.T.W. They really are moving me again this week for the second time in less than 6 months. I don't like this. I tell you, I don't like it one bit.
  3. Love the image. B.T.W. My favorite stapler is the Rubbermaid RM23. My boss will never pry it out of my hands!
  4. I'm sure "WOW!" has been said too many times but that's about all that will come out right now. What trip. I didn't like all the standing around but once things started moving, I could see that this is a fun activity to get involved in. One of my instructors told me that you can count on spending a few thousand dollars to get to the point of the $20 jump tickets. That would be the cost of training and my own equipment. I'm not sure if I'll take this up on an ongoing basis or not. Money is the main factor. Falling out of that plane was a total rush like non I've ever experienced. I know what it is to ride the back of a 2 wheeler @ 120 + mph and that is a trip to the grocery store compared to this.
  5. Talked a buddy into jumping with me. I so looking forward to this. Can someone tell me what a "jump ticket" is? I saw it listed on one of the service provided. Does this mean you purchase a jump ticket if you have your own great and that's all you need to jump? If so, it was only $20.00. I thought you had to drop $200-$300 each time you jumped.
  6. Thanks Lizz, I'll let everyone know how it goes. I don't know about DZ etiquette/humor but if you don't hear back from me...you'll know what happened!
  7. Thanks Mama! Actually he died a few years ago but he was able to make (I think) 2 jumps, raft the Colorado River, scuba dive and do all sorts of other fun things as a senior. I've said in recent years that I don't want to wait until I'm old to enjoy life. My wife had a life altering experience a couple years ago and she now really understands the need to live for today. However, she still does not understand why someone would want to jump from a plane in flight. I suppose that's not something you can explain to someone.
  8. Yea well, there are still a couple of activities on my to-do list but they continue to get progressivly more expensive. My private pilot's license is high on my list but it's about $5k US through instrument rating. I can wait on that I suppose.
