"Warm up enough" so you mean it can actually be too cold for that?? Man overhere we're glad when it's cold enough for the snow to stay for a while. Most of the time it melts away immediately If it gets really cold, it doesn't snow that often. Usually have to wait for a little warmer of air to blow in with some moisture in it. Last year was pretty cold, and there was almost no snow, same the year before. The cool thing about living in america is that I'm not living somewhere else. Of all the places that I could have ended up when I was born (if we were to make it random occurence), I think that this is one of the best of them. There have not been any major wars within the border of the US for a long long time, I don't have to worry about if the power will be on, I don't have to worry about daily fighting in the streets, I can say and do preety much whatever I want without worrying if the government is going to come knock on my door and put a bullet in my head, the list goes on. By no means am I saying that other countries don't have many of these same things going for them, but thats not the point here. Do I think everything that our government does in other countries is the best or only solution, hmm maybe not, but they are sure trying hard to make things right. We can't just sit back and let the world fall apart around us, because that is a threat to our existance inside our country, and a threat to american business investment in other countries. If americans didn't invest in things outside our country then maybe no one would care about the rest of the world. I think it is often the case though, that people only consider the negative image things that we do without respect for the intent, and final goal. The other importance of logging jumps is for traveling to other DZs. This ensures that the DZ you are going to knows that you are current. Well, I don't know for sure if I can agree with the original vector3s havint the 8 pieces of pipping. Attached is a picture of my rig, I belive that is the sort of effect that your going for dave? It looks like there are only 5 sections and the rest is just part of the reserve flaps. As for if you can get a M-series with out the extra tape there, I guess only RWS can answer that, but I do know that its on the newer M-series and not on the older 'original' V3. Per the attached. This might be a case of an optional item or not. The abstracts on some of them articles made for me to dig through my stuff for my University Library Card, so that I could go look up the articles. Full text research databases are cool, but a total pain in the ass to find what your looking for. I ussually pick someone at the end of the day that was around for most of my jumps and get them to sign them. The other person that can sign them is the pilot but I don't like to bother them. At my DZ you get a student logbook after your second jump. The thought is that if you just make one jump and never show up again, then the log book is a cost that the DZ doesn't have to spend.
