I've never really understood how those numbers work. Is it on a per use kinda basis or a per user kinda basis? i.e. if 100 couples have sex simultaneously with (properly used) condoms as their only form of birth control, 2-3 of the women will probably get pregnant? Or if one couple has sex an average of 4 times per week, again properly using condoms, a pregnancy is likely within

I would go with a list of items and serial numbers. I think I provided that on the last used gear I sold, along with a statement of the number of jumps on each component. And name and price. It takes maybe 3 minutes, and I don't see any reason why not.

What, you want a snowball and she's hogging it all?

The Next Great ATL Skydiver Strip Club Outing!!
headoverheels replied to Thanatos340's topic in The Bonfire
I hope they have some new strippers since I was last in an Atlanta strip joint (~1981). -
I've had several. There are at least 3 pairs in my shoe closet right now.

Hmmm....it looks like you can pay cash and still be using plastic!

Are west coast chicks as cool as they say they are?
headoverheels replied to ccowden's topic in The Bonfire
I wish they all could be California girls... -
He could get that from reading other eBay ads.

I like to watch, but my back hurts too much to participate. Dog ball is a totally 'nother situation.

If you are literate, and have the discipline to do the study, self-study for the "ground school" is way more than adequate, maybe even best. If you have trouble scheduling your time, then the regular schedule of an instructed class may make more sense.

Expired Cypres being sold on Ebay
headoverheels replied to Gravitymaster's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
If the expiration were news to him, he should have answered the question on the ad, so any bidders would know, not by private e-mail. -
Damn, she got him just in time! Edit to attach photo

The problem was wording to be inserted into the state constitution, defining abortion. Wording "cause the death of the unborn child, a child conceived but not yet born." caused concern for any right-to-choose advocates. It was a case of right-to-lifers trying to make broad changes, not about parental rights. Without this wording, the initiative would have easily passed. I'm sure there is more to it than I understand, but I don't have a "permanent job" even after 28 years, and don't see that they need that before 5 years. This is the only one I voted for. Then let them vote within their union. This is just an attempt by the governor to weaken public unions. It is not initiated by union members.

Next Four Years: no policy is too right-wing
headoverheels replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in Speakers Corner
The didn't have to fund it. -
No, it is mostly good. I voted for only one of the four, but that wasn't exactly a hot button issue for me anyway. What is disgusting is that Schwarzenneger forced a special election costing the state over $50 million (and various sides 4x that or more). There was not one urgent issue in the eight statewide initiatives. Schwarzenneger was really "funny" giving his concession speech last night, talking about how he is now going to work with the Democrats. That came up right after he was elected, and he said "nobody wants to talk to a bunch of losers." He got handed his hat last night, and is changing his tune. As for the handgun law, I'm not in favor of handguns, but I don't see the law having any significant effect. It will just piss off people that already have them. Here are the CA initiatives: http://smartvoter.org/2005/11/08/ca/state/prop/ Schwarzenneger's are 74, 75, 76, 77.

Next Four Years: no policy is too right-wing
headoverheels replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in Speakers Corner
8 of the 9 Dover school board members who voted for ID in the classroom were up for re-election. All 8 (Republicans) lost the election (to Democrats). I guess parents really do care about education. -
CA returns. Click on the MAP link for each proposition. http://vote2005.ss.ca.gov/Returns/prop/00.htm

My Local news had a piece on 1 800-SKYRIDE!!!!
headoverheels replied to Kid_Icarus's topic in The Bonfire
Hmmm, it must be interesting for them to show up and see that they paid 65% more for the Skyride certificate than the standard Lodi tandem price. -
proper size of reserve canopy
headoverheels replied to darius1891's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Check out PD's recommendations: http://www.performancedesigns.com/reserve.asp Find your exit weight (including clothes, gear, RW weights if you are likely to use them) and skill level on the chart. It's pretty obvious that the 126 is a bad idea. If the PD-150 you are talking about is an F-111 9-cell, I really wouldn't be wanting to load it that heavily. Just no fun at all. Even if 152 pounds includes your gear, you are beyond the maximum load that PD recommends: http://www.performancedesigns.com/ninecell.asp -
Sell it on eBay. There is a out of date one there, going for $102, with two days left on the bidding. I wonder whether the high bidder knows that it is expired.

Ha, ha. You can set it by how much higher your destination is, than your present plane of existance.
