You told me quite a few weeks ago that the rubber bands were "intact". Were they twisted in the same fashion as these sub-packets? Furthermore, wouldn't the rubber bands be compromised with rolling and tumbling action that causes the rest of the bill to disintegrate? OR - did someone put the bands on after all the rolling and tumbling?

Why does the senior Ingram need to direct his son to a particular point to smooth a spot? Why didn't he let Brian smooth the first spot Brian chose?? They are on a large beach of sand - wouldn't anywhere work??? This doesn't have to be the Rackstraw grift - it could be tied to any one of the suspects. The Rackstraw researchers are just the ones that exposed this part of the puzzle. A human bury on Tena Bar makes more sense than trying to get the money to wash up on shore nine years later and in a condition that it could be identified as Cooper money. I agree with others, that the money find doesn't really matter to solve the case. But if you have another option besides the Columbia River as the money delivery method, then you don't have to tether the rest of your story to the Columbia or the whole bag of loot.

Rataczak became the Northwest spokesperson for the hi-jacked flight. Do you think this is self-appointed or company appointed? Wouldn't the Captain normally deliver any statements or have comment on his ship? There seems to be something more to this part of the puzzle.

Are you sure these dates match when the second sketch (your sketch A) came out? Only the "Initial Sketch" was out, especially on the 25th. Date on the second sketch (your A) shows Nov 30, 1971, from the FBI files I find.

Was Himmelsbach making the same statement before the money find? Did anyone mention rubber bands or bundles prior? You stated just before this post 'maybe four FBI sources' reported the money was given to Cooper in bundles. I thought only the SeaFirst bank folks, Northwest, and Tina had seen the money - not any FBI sources? I will continue to go with Tina's assessment after she looked into the bag at the time of the hijacking and not someone recalling it nine years later or recounting what they heard from another. It seems to me any information or witness accounts, pre-money find, would be more reliable and closer to the truth. We are all influenced by the latest information and bend our stories to fit.

I think it does, She defines the money as small packages. She defines the packages as banded with bank type bands. She NEVER states that there were bundles or groups or clumps or any other name of banding multiple small packages. She could see individual packages with each of those being banded with bank type bands. I believe Tina tells us what was in the bag better than any other witnesses involved in preparing the money.

Was this comment by Baker pre- or post- Money Find? Was he influenced by the found condition?

I misspoke about the rubber bands and the crumbles. I do not have a source - sorry to add any confusion on the money find. I did review the Citizen Sleuths website as you highlighted, and as FLYJACK had mentioned also, "the rubber bands were still intact and crumbled when touched".

I seem to recall reading a few years back, that Georger spoke to the Fazio brothers and they had indicated the money had to be a plant based on their knowledge of the Columbia and its action in that area. Georger still have that info?

Are you sure the rubber band crumbles weren't laying amongst the shards of bills? I recall language of how they picked stuck parts of the rubber bands off the bills, not that it crumbled away (like it was holding the packet together). More importantly, why didn't Tina identify rubber bands as holding the original cash - I only recall her statement of 'Bank Type bands'.

I totally agree Cooper did not bury money at Tena Bar. My scenario was that another person buried the money just weeks/days prior to the find by Ingram. The bury artist moved the money (with rubber band bits) from another location or environment where the biota transfer and deterioration occurred, to this location that Ingram could discover.

Wouldn't my totally made-up (except the part with H. D. Ingram saying, "dig by them two sticks") scenario cover this? Someone buried the money in a location to be found relatively soon after burial. Why.?.. for the expected ransom. The location lies near the supposed flight path so nobody goes looking for the burial artist.
