Still Calling it Right -- The Dollar is being Attacked by its Own...
akarunway replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
23 plans? I'm aware of one. Where's the transparency? What value comes out of us attacking our currency like this? Quiet. It's a secret unless you're on a need to know basis. (the rich buddy system) Can't have all the sheep uprising don't ya know. TARP is just the tip of the iceburg. Here's a little more. I just found this site. I have some reading to do. >http://www.propublica.org/article/the-feds-secret-893-billion-loan-portfolio-1124.....http://clusterstock.alleyinsider.com/2008/11/our-7-4-trillion-bailout I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. -
You're doing it for me. I do NOT equate throwing a shoe with ordering the bombing of a city. You have done in this thread. What city did we carpet bomb? Here is a tidbit for ya. http://www.iraqbodycount.org/ Not only does that have nothing to do with orders to carpet bomb a city, but it records every civilian death regardless of who is to blame. Policeman killed by roadside bomb One by roadside bomb Man killed by bomb strapped to bike Those are just 3 in the first ten I read. Were you just chiming in or do you seriously think all of those are America's fault? Not all but a whole fuckin lot. We started this shit so who's to blame? I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

The aerial bombing that missed military/political targets is only one aspect. The Iraq Body Count project has reported that by the end of the major combat phase up to April 30, 2003, 7,299 civilians had been killed, primarily by US air and ground forces. And that was just the beginning. And Amazon beat me to the Shock and Awe part. I think they got what they deserve. Yr. after yr. of unrealistic returns and no questions asked. More greedy rich crooks. They all need a Ken Lay. Now they are saying they can probably write off the losses. Maybe congress will give all their (rich)friends some bailout money. Edit to add: And here we go.>http://wcbstv.com/business/madoff.ponzi.scheme.2.888036.html Taxpayers gonna feed the rich again? Arrgh. ...."Congress created the SIPC in 1970 to protect investors when a brokerage firm fails and cash and securities are missing from accounts. Funds can be used to satisfy the remaining claims of each customer up to a maximum of $500,000. The figure includes a maximum of up to $100,000 on claims for cash. So she should not carry a gun because she has not had a home invasion?? Has your house ever been on fire? Maybe you shouldnt have smoke detector. Has your house been broken into? Maybe you shouldnt lock it. Why not prepair just incase?? You must live in loly pop land I think you're missing the point, the proper response to a car accident is buying a Volvo. What the hell is a gun going to do in a car accident? Stop road rage maybe? Depends on what you do w/ the objects. I could kill you w/ any one of them. Therefore they should all be banned by law. I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

GWB is a lucky man. It only were shoes. Not grenades or knives. Thanks to his security, of course. Did he really expect to receive a warm welcome? Did you expect him to be received as a friend? Come on. He surely is the most hated man for Iraqi folks... and deservedly so. edited for typo And not too well liked at home by 79% of the populace. Now he's out kissing babies here and talking up his god and shit after killing a shitload in IRAQ. Fuckin man needs a trip to the Hague not just a size 10. Or maybe he does need a size 10 (inches) while he's rotting in prison. Take another look at the photo - the trigger guard IS covered. IMO the downside of the Glock. I usually keep one hot and the trigger safety isn't much of a safety. My holster does cover the trigger tho. The upside. You're good to go w/o having to fumble w/ a saftey if you need it fast. A tradeoff IMO. I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. -
I cannot disagree with the first suggestion about calling the patrol sgt. but the second and third I do. Regardless of which shotgun you get(real men and women use Remmy 870 ) DO NOT use bird shot in a home defense situation. Its called bird shot for a reason, its designed to kill small flying animals not humans intent on killing you. People get shot all the time with bird shot and are able to carry on no problem, thats not what you want when someone is in your house trying to rape and kill your family. There are several lines of thought on the "perfect" home defense shotgun round but I won't bore you with them. Since your engagement range will be typical interior home distances, probably low light to dark, 00 buck is a simple and effective solution to your problem. You can get a decent shotgun at most gun stores for around $500 +/-. A 18" barrel is a plus as it is easier to use in a home but I do not recommend a pistol grip for home defense as most people don't know how to use them correctly and end up hurting themselves or simply missing the target. Get a regular stock and the shortest barrel they have in the store. The standard magazine tube is fine for your purposes, everything else falls into the "tacti-cool" category and is usually not needed. If you want to kill birds, use birdshot. If you need to kill a human attacker , use buckshot. Agreed. I have 8 rounds of .00 in mine. Just have to hold on tight w/ a pistol grip. I chopped down a telephone pole w/ it last month. I'll post the pics. I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

I think if you are qualified you should be able to open carry anywhere. I like concealed better tho. If everybody thought everybody is packing it would be a way more polite world. Good on her.
