20 years ago, just before my hiatus, a DZ near me began a regular practice of putting out the tandems at 13k and then running the experienced jumpers to 17. This bothered me because there was little or no way to know if a tandem had a high opening. The experienced spotter should be looking for any type of traffic before exit but a high tandem might be hard to see.
I'd like to know if this has become common practice or if it's still a rarity. Am I being too concerned?
I apologize if this has been covered before. I searched and didn't see it addressed.
