Actually, it took roughly ten-15 years for people to build confidence in AAD"S. This means that airtech have done the 'hardwork' in gaining acceptance from jo public. Now, finally, another AAD, that is electronic based like the cypres will soon be available. The acceptance hurdle is nowhere near as big as it was 10-12 years ago. The idea of a monopoly by airtech always disturbed me, so I am glad there will be another rival...just as long as the 'duopoly'(2 sole companies in the marketplace) don't start any co-hesive price fixing! ---------------------------------------------------- If the shit fits - wear it (blues brothers)--

One good lesson you must have learned is not to readily jump on here blowing a fuse...the skydive community here at dz.com, as you have since noticed, is grapevined to reality. i.e. 'blow off' on here, and someone at your DZ will get to know about it. ---------------------------------------------------- If the shit fits - wear it (blues brothers)--

You can even get injured being a JW. Like the one who put his foot against my front door so I couldnt close it on him...I then preceded to 'close' my front door rather violently, resulting in him having fractures. I was mesmorized one evening by the BBC documentary "The man who fell to earth", it was about an aging welsh chap who skydived and jumped from angel falls. Anyone else see this? Seems to me your jumping the gun a little..at least go 'try' a tandem to see if it's for you...most peoples perception of a skydive is nothing like what they thought it would be.

- actually, the incentive comes from the very feedback thats in this forum. In April of 1944, Joe Herman was the pilot of a Royal Australian Air Force Halifax on a mission to bomb munition factories at Bochum. After dropping its bombs, Herman's Halifax was struck by enemy fire. Herman ordered his crew to bail out. Before he could grab his parachute, the plane exploded and he was thrown into the air. In mid-air, he collided with John Vivash, the mid-upper gunner, and grabbed onto Vivash's left leg around the same time as Vivash was opening his parachute.
