  1. What's the background? clouds, antarctica, photoshopped? I bet it's fake krek wak wou o_0
  2. I do not care much for computers but if I have to choose one to be my dream computer it would be this one: http://www.go-l.com/desktops/machl38/features/index.htm edit: starts @ $3999.99 up to $7799.99 for the top model, lots 'o jumps though krek wak wou o_0
  3. I'm Jack's complete lack of surprise Even women are more predictable than videogame releasedates
  4. Hmmm reminds me of that I really need to write my metaphorical essay where skydivers are heroine addicts and beer is methadon. Maybe a bit stupid but the resemblances are major edit: spelling krek wak wou o_0
  5. walking into work? like as in: *canopy landing* "Hey, dude you forgot your lunchbox!"
  6. Wow almost surrealistic http://www.dropzone.com/temp/india/pages/IMG_4680.htm Nice pics krek wak wou o_0
  7. Lol, when I was reading the first post I was instantly thinking of trainspotting too, although trainspotting is not really antidrugs. Actually it gives the viewer a rather cynical choice between ordinary standard mediocre consumer life or being a heroine addict. So it's a choice between two bads krek wak wou o_0
  8. Thongs are so passé, just like heroine and superglue krek wak wou o_0
  9. PUSSY!!! Yeah, he really needs to get some perspective, getting hurt really bad from exhaustion is much worse when like doing Nicole Kidman than riding a horse, maybe that was the reason they broke up... I suspect he's gay krek wak wou o_0
  10. -Try to relax (hmm obvious maybe) -Think of the fact that above 1500ft, if anything happens you can get out -Think of happy things -Ask the pilot to turn on the radio on the ride up -Play paper, stone and scissors with a fellow skydiver -Caress the plane before you enter it and say sweet words to it, it's your friend - I wanted to paste some cessna 182 statistics but maybe that isn't a good idea I don't feel very anxious on the ride up anymore, I always think: When it's my time, it's my time anyways...
  11. 1. Does coffee count as water (it's at least 99.7% pure water ) 2. Everything can be toxic when consumed too much, even 'good' things, but the links provided above already set that out pretty well... krek wak wou o_0
  12. A bit contradictive to the newsitem's headline; so they like get divorced and then hire men wo want to play the old-fashioned role of a husband, and no sex is involved. My solution, stay married, forget the sex and hire gigolo's Hmmm another proof that a change to a capitalistic economic system doesn't come with a more up-to-date look at male/female roles (Iraq, Afghanistan). At least in Russia they changed the system themselves (partially)... krek wak wou o_0
  13. As if a flat Linux, FreeBSD, beOS kernel has that built-in feature But yeah, Nero and Easy CD Creator are nice to use and can be free (download the shareware and crack it, but that's illegal ofcourse ) Oh and when you go to select the properties of your cdr station, you can also select the burning speed in Windows (the tab menu is called record(ing), or something like that) edit: I should type faster krek wak wou o_0
  14. The study talks about fertility and the chance of getting pregnant, not about scoringpercentage or the chance of getting laid due to women consuming alcohol. Second; given that (what is btw a remarkable result) who knew that wine works better than beer works better than nothing? Ofcourse it's easy to ridiculize this study, damn it's about women and their fertility and sex and alcohol, it almost seems too easy aye? The text you pasted says that they didn't expect the results and they cannot explain them, well that's how new insights are found and new things are invented. BTW: The Danish are cool, they have Carlsberg edit: spellinggggk krek wak wou o_0
  15. LOL when filled in honestly a bit more than 9000 pounds. When filled in rationally: Your soul is worth £58645 Seeing what stupid things you have to fill in to make your soul more worth I'm happy mine isn't worth much and nobody wants it krek wak wou o_0
  16. Mark your calendar or Palm V. You can expect to die on: June 25, 2051 at the age of 69 years old. On that date you will most likely die Wrom: Cancer (28%) Horrible Accident (21%) Heart Attack (14%) Alcoholism (7%) Alien Abduction (5%) 2 days before I'll turn 70 (too much coffee, cigarettes, unprotected partners and red traffic light walking ) But I'm not practicing any religion and surely not the religion of chance and statistics. A wise man once said: There are small lies, big lies and then there are statistics
  17. try it without the "s krek wak wou o_0
  18. Ad Aware fixed it for me, it may not find all the spyware but if you find out of the blue popups annoying it's worth a try: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ ps: use the scan feature, select everything it's has found and all will be fine krek wak wou o_0
  19. I totally agree with the others, you'll remember more the more you jump (and the other way around). It's a chemical thing with all the neurotransmitters doing a formula 1 race in your head. You'll get more used to it and I don't think you should worry much since you did everything right on your level one and that's a thing you should be proud of. Extract confidence from it for your next jump. If you really want to jump you shouldn't delay it too long because it can end up in being 'that big thing of what you cannot remember much but which also was a thing you did right/survived/etc etc'. Good luck! krek wak wou o_0
  20. Oh forgot to add something; although I'm not an instructor (by far )so check it with them too: unstable exits are not that a problem (in later levels you even have to do an unstable exit) as long as you manage to get stable again in a reasonable time (arch). AFF is not about perfectness but to learn you the basics of survival in the air (that's what my instructor told me). Which made me a lot more relaxed than the feeling of "I have to do that perfect turn, or backloop or tracking or they fail me". and yw -Hans krek wak wou o_0
  21. Level 3 (still fresh in my memory ) is all about relaxation because you'll fly loose for a while (don't know if it's the same everywhere), which will be strange the first time, it's like you ride a bike for the first time in your life and trying to keep stable. I don't think you can ever be too harsh on yourself (but that's just my opinion, I'm a bit fanatical ) as long as it doesn't come along with tension in your body. My experience was that after I got relaxed already in the plane (as far as that is possible the first jumps), playing bob marley songs in my head, my jumps went a lot better. Good luck on thursday, relax and you'll be fine
  22. I really think you shouldn't rely on AAD's but in a worst case scenario when all odds are against you (like in Caryn's situation) it's kind of nice that is does work, right? I wouldn't say Caryn was lucky, but unlucky to get unconscious after the exit and the Cypres did what it's supposed to do. I wouldn't think that as being overrelying on technical devices (not that I'm implying that you were suggesting that in this case/incident). I think that if you set up a poll with the question: Would you like to have a Cypres in this (ontopic)situation? Everyone would say yes. I think that's the whole point. edit: in reply to your post after that: ofcourse having a Cypres doesn't mean you can take more risks, if that are the people you were mentioning then I totally share your opinion (for what it's worth ). krek wak wou o_0
