Sorry cant help with your search for "Sport Canopies"....but can tell you that all the info needed to pass your A Cop exam and higher can be found in the CSPA PIM's. Edited to add: One hint is know the difference between BSR's and TR's...and the latest PIM 1 can now be found online at http://www.cspa.ca/forms/PIM1.pdf

Im in for one....I like the idea of using a penguin ...but it would have to be with a red circle and slash through the penguin....or maybe a Steve cartoon pic of her with a penguin????

Morals selling rig and qualifications and scams
DeNReN replied to akarunway's topic in Gear and Rigging
You can also contact Phreezone.....and you have been on this site 3 years and dont know that you can PM pretty much anyone???? -
I'll try and field your Q but keep in mind I am a newb myself Knowing what gear to buy can be quite complicated for a new jumper....reserve size...canopy size and type.....not to mention make....are questions best left untill you have a decient understanding of what you will need to continue in the sport if you so choose once you have a licence... However buying a basic helmet to use is often recomended....a protec is a good starter helmet and offers the only real protection of most helmets used in skydiving today....start with the basic's and once you have the knowlage then you can decide to purchase (or not to) a skydive specific helmet. Owning your own altimeter and goggles is also not a bad idea...but again keep it basic.....no need to go out and buy the best of everything.....a nice simple alt and ...lets say a pair of flex-z's will do you fine. Always check with you instructors before listening to ANY advise you recieve online.... IMHO go ahead and buy youseft a protec (or similar) a pair of goggles and maybe a altimeter(again nothing too fancy) but leave the rig and jumpsuit decissions untill you have a licence and a much better understanding of the sport and your requirments for whatever disipline you will follow.

So what did you do while the forums were "down" for repairs??
DeNReN replied to SkydiveStMarys's topic in The Bonfire
Reread all the articals in safety and training....some good info in there -
I'll even offer to shave your pussy for you free of charge
-
I was gona say that one...but it was just in the kitty disipline thread...and learn how to tell(type it) How do you make a cat go woof? Soak it in gas for a week and toss a match on it.....WOOOOOOOOOF
-
OK those were really really bad And to continue on with the bad ones..heres a couple that havent been mentioned yet... How do you make a dog go Meow? Stick it in the freezer for a week and then put it on a table saw..... Meeeeeeeooooooowwwwwwwwww How does a blind skydiver know when to flare? The leash goes limp
-
Good on you for using common sense and spending a few bucks to save yourself a nightmare of trouble and expence.....I am not familiar with Auto PI but it sounds like they earned their $99 by steering you away from a bad deal

You were supposed to "quote" that as was I...............damn

AN 2 jump. Do you want it at the WFFC?
DeNReN replied to Fleahop's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I made 3 jumps from a AN-2 last fall...while it is certainly not a fast climber...it is still a cool ac .....mind you...it was my 1st time jumping from anything but a c-182....they have great lift for take off...I was quite supprised by how fast it got off the ground...and a skilled pilot used to it can do some pretty cool stuff(like having it fly fairly sideways)....I am looking forward to jumping the AN-2 again this summer -
I have a semi similar problem........DAMN fax machine keep calling my cel #....somehow my cel number got onto some sort of list.....I have managed to get several of them stopped but a few still persist(aways show up as private numbers).....but the few that did show there numbers got some intresting faxes from me Phone companys solution...change my number.....but I like my number...have had it for years.
-
Chicken....I was just gona get him into the online gaming
-
OK......I wana speak with this new "cabana boy" when he comes over next time to "help out".....I must find out his intensions toward a fellow skydiver and friend .....well either that or raz him silly
-
I'm with murps...its a "duh".....take your gear. I personally have missed plenty a jump over the past 7 years trying to read the forcast.....better to have your gear and miss jumping due to the weather than to not have your gear and have perfect weather ...the later is always a "doh"
-
Your shit dosent stink either I bet

Completed and passed first IAF jump
DeNReN replied to MrFreefall383's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'll chime in here with a little newb(being me) advice... The wobble will go away as you gain experiance and learn to relax......its hard to relax when getting used to hucking oneself out of a a/c at altitude...and plumeting towards mother earth at breakneck speed...but the more jumps you do the easier it will become.....best advise I ever recieved was..."pretend your a wet bag of shit".....for some reason that made sence to me keep at it and listen to all sensible advise from your instructors...use your noodle and keep at it and enjoy -
To push that a tad farther....do you know how to change a tire? and are you able to do so? Knowing how to pack is is very basic...understanding the gear that you trust your life to is another thing....as others have posted...being able to see potential problems before they occur is one of the key things in our sport of calculated risk....denying oneself of basic gear knowlage is not only dangerous its idiotic. Should we all be riggers or have the knowlage of riggers...no...but a good understanding of our gear is essential to survival in this sport........knowing how to pack and understanding what one is doing during packing is the 1st step. As to the forums newest troll....well...it seems he aspires to be be another Untamed Dog..."another kick ass post by "the dog" " quoted from another thread....my suggestion mirrors the usual "dont feed the troll" thingy....ignor the (insert PA here) .....he will fade away....scare himself with a few line twists...and run to mommy. never to really understand why people jump. BTW.....bogus numbers really undermind the integrity of the site...and YES I am talking to you Pop....straighten up and fly right or I'll swap your depends for pampers....stop setting a bad example for future trolls.
