Well with a combined population of about 10...I highly doubt that you will find anyone on this site that lives in either Alaska or Canada...

Studded snow tires offer maximum traction on icy roads....they however tend to reduce traction on dry pavement... I run 4 winter tires on my cars and toss them before they are half worn...if I was in a climate with more snow and ice I would run studded snows.

OK....has been a nice fall untill last night....30 cm of snow.....2 1/2 hours,3 tanks of gas,4 shear pins and a badly bent impeller and I am almost done with the snow blower.... Another 20 to 30 cm of snow is forcast for tonight... So much for getting a few jumps in and winterzing the trailer at the DZ tomorrow And before anyone has a chance to say it...the waaaaambulance has already been called and is bringing me a case of beer

Will riggers raise thier prices on reserve repacks?

Raising the price for a AIR just because the time frame has been extended is foolish and boarders on criminal.....imagine me as a mechanic charging my customer more labour for installing longer lasting brake pads just because I wouldnt get to change them as often..... However if a rigger feels they need to increase what they charge for a AIR then just do so...dont use the extended repack cycle as a excuse..cite legitimate reasons such as inflation yada yada...or my fav...just because. My repacks are usually free as I am my riggers mechanic...... he sais to me...pack carefully,dont do CREW as he hands my rig back ....I say to not use his brakes too much and to bring a book next time he's in for car service -
Do you also think that a penny dropped from the Empire State Building will kill someone? Seriously? Wow!!...you should think before you post.... Seriously. And I have dropped water balloons from under canopy... 8 in total..... a large orange sized water balloon dropped from approx. 200 feet leaves a nice little crater in a grass field(just ask the guy who thought about catching it and is quite glad he missed)...the ones dropped from approx 600 feet and 1000 feet did what looked to be the same amount of damage...small craters...approx 12in in diameter and 3 in deep.

Oh boy..... what fun Thanks! Got to try that next summer. Just remember that water is quite heavy and unbroken water balloons will leave a nice little crater on earth....I wouldn't want to be hit with one
