I agree with BCH7773 - If you are looking between a Sabre Mark 1 and a Spectre - Go with the Spectre. They are a very forgiving and zippy canopy to learn on, and You will hear a lot of horror stories about the openings of the Origional Sabre. I had to make the same decision between a Sabre2 and a Spectre - TOUGH CALL!!!! =========Shaun ==========

If I want to miss a day to go jump, the work starts long before the intended jumping day. Okay, As I follow this thread - It would be really usefull for me to know How Long it really takes to make a rig start to finish - In terms on man-hours spent working on that Rig. The manufacturer I ordered from said it takes around 40 hours to build a rig - Is this about right?? Could somebody offer some info here?? I've looked at the previous forums where this has been brought up - I'm suprised to say that none of them have ever really offered a clear answer... =========Shaun ==========

I'm getting the impression that you feel that freeflying is a more advanced and challening branch of skydiving. Do you really believe that Freeflying is more challening than shooting competitive RW? If so, I think you are being a little closed minded-- =========Shaun ==========

Thats an Awsome First rig and for a great-price!! Whether or not it has hip or chest rings really isn't important right now - For a first rig most people take to the idea that they will put about 200-300 jumps on it while they discover what they really want from this sport and move onto new(er) gear.. I thought I got a great deal with my Dolphin/PD193/Temp/Cypress for $2,000 - If you get that rig you'll have gotten a better deal than I!! =========Shaun ==========

My opinion about this is way the hell off in left field - but here it goes..... You are a freeflier if that is what you are interested in and if that is what you are mainly working to improve on. For Example - I can sit, stand, or head-down without a problem - But I am not a freeflier Because I love RW much more and would rather do that than freefly anyday! =========Shaun ==========
