  1. Is it really that hard to figure out? Ok, I will explain it. You see, I knew he was spouting off about something, but didn't really catch what it was because I was ignoring the content. It is like when someone is rambling on and on next to you, and you can hear that they are talking, but you choose to ignore what they are saying. Does that answer your question and satisfy your curiosity?
  2. I'm sorry. Were you saying something? I was ignoring you.
  3. You GOTTA be kidding! Cruel, I tell ya. Just plain cruel. Congrats on the win!
  4. Dude, your coaching skills are SO 2004! I have moved on.
  5. Get with a coach and get another 100 jumps on your feet, or until you get proficient at head up flying. Don't be in a hurry to get headdown. Too many people go to headdown WAY too soon, before they are ready and before they can fly on their feet very well at all. Take your time! Have fun with it. Get a coach.

  8. Let's try to build a SGC record hybrid! By sunset on Saturday, between Woody's RW group and my FF group, we should have a good idea of skill levels and be able to put together a kickin' hybrid. Maybe something in the 12 to 14way range?
  9. Mustaine was never really credited with "Kill 'em All" but he had a hand in most of it and was certainly one of the driving influences to the music. The actual album was realeased after Kirk joined. But I consider it a Mustaine album.
  10. Exactly how I wanted the question answered and I couldn't agree more about Megadeth. Heck, Metallica's best album was WITH Mustaine. IMO.
  11. The years have gone by, but both band still exist. Metallica has changed quite a bit. Megadeth is very much the same. So, my question takes into account the changes or lack of. Which band do you like better? Take everything into account.
  12. I am usually not a fan of Top 40 pop, but damn, this song has been spinning around in my head for a week!
  13. Yes, Kolla defintely gets credit for "swoomas!" I have some new, top secret, lightweight swoomas coming in the next day or two. I think these are the babies that are going to get me 400 feet! Ok, so maybe just 300 feet consistantly, but I'll take it!
  14. Sweet! It would be awesome to see you again! And if you say you are coming, I PROMISE to bring you a Badfish shirt! The dz would HAVE to be kid friendly. They put up with US don't they?
  15. Oh, it won't be FREE, my sweet. You will pay dearly!Cuz you are gonna have to put up with me ALL weekend! I am REALLY looking forward to coming out to play! Can't wait to party it up and tear up the skies with the SGC peeps! Get that ankle healed up!
  16. Yeah, 200 is a little on the speedy side. My average hd speed (just guessing) when it's ALL hd flyers is prolly 160. Maybe 150 when flying with upright people. I'm just guessing. I would tend to agree. I would say that the 155 mark is a good middle ground. HD groups will tend to get faster and when a couple people really get working, it can get pretty quick. But I would say 140 to 180 hits them all. But that is just a guess based on wanting to know speeds. Like wrongway said, it is about matching fallrates with the people you are jumping with. You could do 2 exact same jumps and average 2 completely different speeds.
  17. Swoomas are guarenteed to help!
  18. Swoomas = Pumas used for swooping It is an ancient PD secret that was accidentally revealed to the general public when Isaiah's feet were pictured in an ad banner for the PD Velocity. It clearly showed his use of Pumas for pond swooping. I believe you can still see the ad if you go to the swooping forum. The secret is out!
  19. That is the exact question I tried to provide an answer to in this response: Body position is everything. Starting out in something that places the drag on your arms rather than your legs is a good idea to learn, however, it can also cause you to rely a little too much on your arms. What I see alot is people holding themselves in their sit with their arms and not flying strong enough with their lower body and legs. So, what happens is that their legs and feet want to pop up and out in front of them, causing instability and turning. The more their feet come up, the further back they put their arms to counter it, thus just making it worse. In your situation where you thought it was going to be more difficult with the drag on your lower body, it may have actually become easier beacause of this. You may have been relying on your arms a little more than you thought, and when you take away some of that drag and control from your arms, it was easier to keep your lower body and legs and feet in the correct position. In essence, it forced you to fly a strong lower body, which is the absolute key to a good head up position. It is not the arms.
