    Just wear a full face helmet. That is why you don't go around telling people your personal buisness. You are not legally required to tell your employer if you are HIV positive. Since the chances of spreading the desease are soo slim.

    When was the last time a tandem master and student exchanged bodily fluids? You are both wearing full body jumpsuits and you are not facing each other, breathing on somones neck isn't going to cause a contraction. AIDS has been with us for over 20 years and there has not been one documented case of someone contracting it in any other way but sexually or intravenous. Do some research. There is no HIV in your saliva. I wouldn't tell anyone that you are HIV positive. NEVER TELL ANYONE AT YOUR DROPZONE!!!! It's just none of anyones buisness. There really is no realistic risk of anyone getting it. The virus is very fragile and dies when exposed to air. There are a lot of ignorant people in this sport and I would hate to see you get tormented by misinformed people. It just isn't fair to yourself. If you want to keep doing Tandems, I say go for it!

    First off I don't know anything about what really happened. Aren't students suppose to have their rigs on and strapped tightly before they even get on the airplane? All the student has to do is jump and pull. Sure they probably didn't have their helmet, radios,and googles on but that doesn't mean you can't bail out! The pilot doesn't have these things when he jumps! What was the jumpmaster suppose to do differently? When I did AFF, they taught us during ground training that if you are above 2K, go for your main. If you are below 2K go striaght for your reserve. In an emergancy, the most important thing is to get the hell out!

    I get very apprehensive on every jump. I've grown to like that feeling. At that point I'm not thinking about anything thats wrong in my life. I am 100% percent in the moment. It is relaxing to not want to think about anything but the skydive.

    In southern california, there are only a couple months out of the year where top would be useful. It gets hot, you'll want the option of just wearing the pantz.

    I would definatly get the RW suit for the handles on the arms and legs. You can freefly with whatever you want. You might need to duck tape the bottom of those jeans when you sitfly I just got my firefly pantz! They have the velcro on the bottom which solves the instability.

    It looks really cool in the spectator area. I saw some first time tunnel students in there. It looks like they need to crank the fans a little more.

    Interesting, I had the opposite experience about a year ago. Either dropzone is fine with me...I do need to give Elsinore another shoot. I've only been there once. Maybe next weekend I'll see you down there!

    I can definatly say, the pantz are worth the wait. They fit perfectly and look great! They are black, with white/grey V strip on the sides. Sorry, no digital camera to give ya'll pictures.

    I doubt there are any brand new original cypres. I checked into it because I wanted to spend $800 bucks instead of $1,200. I couldn't find any on the web....just used ones. I ended up just buying a new Cypres2

    The FXC1200 is better for students because 1)It doesn't cost a fortune when the student forgets to pull. It only takes a minute to reset the unit. No replacement cutter to buy. 2) No 4 year 8 year check or batteries 3) Can be used on either Main or Reserve (asuming the main is using ripcord) 4) has adjustable range Now as far as experienced jumpers go, I definatly think the Cypres is better because..... 1)Fewer reported misfires 2)Is more suited to jumpers who pull lower since it fires at 750ft. 3)No moving parts (little wear and tear/calibration) 4)Uses way less packing volume. Experienced jumpers don't want a huge 45 pound rig!

    The cypres2 is less hassle. you change the battery at the same time you do your 4 year check. Thats it! No 2 year battery replacement, no counting jumps, measuring voltage ect.

    Why not wait until the Katana 150 is released? That way you can jump it instead of waiting until you are "ready". Secondly, your infatuation with the Katana is simply due to that cool Japanese sybol on the canopy. It is marketed for people who have already spent time on a high performance eliptical like the Stilleto or Crossfire2. Ask PD if they will paint that chessy Katana logo on a Sabre2 170. That would be perfect!!!!! You'll be jumping a safe canopy and you will look cool!!!

    LOL! Don't believe everything you hear! I placed my order Nov 15th. Square 1 is in the process of finding out what is going on with mine and 3 other peoples firefly suits.
