  1. By all means go - I went to the Perris Valley memorial day boogie and there were at least two there who were unlicensed jumpers and made zero jumps. They still managed to have a lot of fun.
  2. Sending some not so cold vibes from North Carolina.
  3. I happened to jump with some people visiting from Belgium last time I visited Z-hills. Great folks. Awesome skydivers. Much fun to jump with. I think they said they would be at Z-hills this weekend. If anyone is there, say Hi to Drew for me and ask if they showed up
  4. Lighter is better. A light weight bike is easier to manipulat over and around obstacles. 26" wheels are fine. 24" may be easier to manuever but you get more rolling resistance which will slow you down. You're already doing well with the suspension. It makes life on the trail much easier. Test ride it if you can. See how well the shifters work. Sticky shifters will suck the fun out of an otherwise awesome ride. Also, go to a bike shop and have them tell you the size you need. My first bike was a size too big. When I got one the correct size I found it much easier to ride. Have fun and don't break any bones
  5. Family, friends, skydiving, fire, dropzone.com, sky's, RBV, RPC, sleep, my campy, the ease of obtaining propane and propane accessories, beer (cold, free, other people's), and the warmth of a good woman
  6. Oh ... my... gawd.... Beer - chicken -- fire -- explosives we are definitely not sucking in Raeford Ook Ook eek eek DT
  7. I've been on both sides - if you really care about the person it sucks either way - you have to admit though - snuggle sleep is better than sleeping alone.
  8. RBV x2 and a Coors Light Tomorrow's gonna suck
  9. Well, I'd have to say I prefer baths to showers when I'm with someone. But yeah... it's actually quite nice :)

    Bad Monkeys.

We are here. Give us your beer..... ALL of it!
  11. Well, I don't hear much in freefall but I do remember when I did my first tandem. The instructor was able to give be instructions in freefall (breathe!!! woohoo!!! pull!!!) but I think that's the only time I've heard voices in freefall (besides the one's in my head of course). I think proximity and windspeed may be a factor. I'd work out the physics of it but I never took fluid dynamics in school and it would just make my head hurt I see what you're saying though. Learning to skydive spoiled that movie for me too
  12. Litespeed Ocoee mountain bike and a Litespeed Tuscany road bike - I have no injuries from the road but I have dislocated a finger on the mountain bike before - I stopped riding the road bike because too many friends were ending up with broken collar bones due to circumstances beyond thier control (unleashed dogs) - I figured I was next - getting dropped on a long ride kind of sucks too - the mountain bike stays in my campy with me on the dz - maybe one day I'll get out and ride it again
  13. It works well as a computer monitor as well
  14. Damn!! I guess I visited GCS at the wrong time
  15. The Raeford crew arrived at DeLand Saturday night. We made a few jumps yesterday and we're leaving for Lake Wales today. The temperature at night has been very nice.... which is good for me because I'm tenting it this trip. The beer was flowing last night with it being my first time jumping in DeLand and all (there were a few beer line violations too so we did not go thirsty). Send vibes to the Raeford Dragons and hope for a nice breeze at nationals (my knee brace is broked). Come by and see us, ya hear?
  16. Poor - take two RBV's and call me in the morning
  17. We have lots of wood stacked out ready for the fire tonight. My projector is up and running and I'm using my window shade for a monitor screen. We are not sucking at Raeford.
  18. Hmm - I'd better start getting my liver in condition for this one
  19. Raeford Parachute Center was spared by Isabel. We got a lot of high winds and sideways rain but the plantation is intact.. except for all the beer that mysteriously disappeared. I don't know what ever could have happened to it
  20. sweeeeeet! Just in time for Isabel to have sucked (in the niceest possible way) all the clouds and wind away
