    Take the door off so it's obvious that you have a locking gas cap. That'll stop the opportunists, but don't think that it will stop the truly determined. It's not all that difficult to remove a locking gas cap.

    Kinda depends on what size canopies you intend to put in it. Assuming 150/170's, you'll probably be happiest with a container that is more fat than tall so you don't end up with the bottom of the container halfway down your ass. The standard Wings is one container that fits this description - for example, a Wings with a 150 main and a 150 reserve will be shorter from top to bottom than the same size Infinity but it will also be fatter front to back than the same size Infinity.

    Nothing, for there is no guarantee that the guy was actually a skydiver. How do I know this? That shirt was one of my biggest sellers when I had the store. Most of them were purchased by tandem passengers.

    I wouldn't call what I saw at the end of the game a huge ovation - more like polite clapping. If *my* team had gotten beaten in the finals, I'd have clapped loud and hard for the team that beat them. Was pretty obvious that both teams wanted it by the way the both played. I'dve feel like a real putz if I didn't show respect. But then again, I'm still a tourist as far as being a hockey fan goes...

If her rig has seen airtime in the past 12 months, has she ever has sex with you? If not, I believe the correct term would be The DZ EZ. If she has ever bumped uglies with you, the correct term is WTF Was She Thinking?.

    You're right. Instead of seeing an 8 year old Cypres, I saw a Cypres with 8 years left on it. Doh. $400 for the Cypres, so US$1600-ish for the complete rig.

    Yeah, I'm doing it right now. I've made one skydive this year - partly due to weather, partly due to school, but mostly due to the fact this year's priority is a 250+ mile hike on the PCT (starting on June 21st). If I were to break myself before the hike... well, it wouldn't be pretty. Skydiving will still be there when you're ready to make it a priority again.

    Dunno. How sure are you of your ability to safely land that size all F111 seven cell into a tight area at sunset (first reserve rides don't always happen at noon over the landing area)? I'd figure that rig to be worth about US$2000 - $300 reserve, $400 container, $7-800 Cypres and $500-600 for the main. Don't buy it if you don't get a chance to pack the main yourself before making the deal final. A 190 in a J2 is gonna completely suck to pack. You should know how much it's going to suck before you buy it.

    Playing with someone's emotions by dating them and then dumping them if something "better" comes along isn't fucked up?

    You'll be jumping with more people sooner if you work on your belly skills first. Mix that up with some solo or coached freefly jumps, tracking jumps and hop and pops to play with your canopy. That's plenty to keep you busy for a couple hundred jumps, at which point you'll have some experience in each discipline and more of an idea of which you want to dedicate the majority of your jumps to. Something to think about - do you want to be an all around good skydiver or do you want to be great in one area?

    Why would you tell them you are interested? Are you hoping to break up their relationship? That's pretty fucked up. Um... no. That'd be pretty fucked up. Have some respect for him, his s/o and yourself and don't go visit, since it's obvious that all you really want is to get in his pants.

    1-11 - Manta/ManOWar student canopies 12-200 - Fury 220 200-500 - Fury 220, PD 190, PD 170 500-650 - Vector 421's and 500's 650-700-ish - PD170 700-ish-800 - Sabre 150, Safire 149, Silhouette 150 800-1100 - Spectre 170 Currently have a Spectre 150 that I load at about 1.1. It's a good choice for my (lack of) ability and (major lack of) currency - slow enough that I can mistime the flare a bit and still land safely, fast enough that I can have fun with it in the air.
