Welcome to the Pro-World! When I was a student skydiver, my mentor was an RW National champion. Several years in the 4-way group, and later, several years as their videographer. When I asked him how he did turns, so I could learn, he replied..."you know, I really don't know. I just do it". I guess after 8,000 jumps, it just becomes a learned trait. The mind knows what to do and the body follows. Pretty cool. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Planning on both weekends. First Saturday got at least 2 helicopter jumps booked. Been way to long since we've seen you, Lisa! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Thanks for the links! Especially liked the second song. Unfortunately, I'm typing this from my old dog of a pc machine that I retired a year ago. My new computer seems to have bit the dust while I was away at work today. It has electricity to it, but it won't fire up when prompted. Geeze, and I had my Mom and Dad's 50th anniversary project on there too. Hope the HD is ok. Off to the repair shop tomorrow. Damn Santa Ana's! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Winds will be keeping us indoors again today. Well, at least it's in the 80's, nice and warm... So, again, why are these called "Santa Ana's"? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Dang! The geocache I was after today got bulldozed under by freakin' developers. It's gone now. Guess, like anything good in life, you have to grab it when it's there and hold on. If you don't, it could be gone forever... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Ivan, Head over to Jersey Shore's DZ and look up my friend, Bunge. He'll 'splain it to ya. No, really, get ahold of a GPS unit, look up a cache on the web site, treck out and find it for yourself and you just might experience how fun it is! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Be not surprised by anything. He's the one who got me interested in this game in the first place. It's touching to see the wuffo posts on that particular geocache thread. I've actually sat there and contemplated life quite a bit the past year. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

For those of you who frequent the Perris area, check THESE out. Perhaps during a (cough) weather day? (like we -ever- get any of those during the winter ) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

OMG, they tasted so BAD!! Opened the box in the dark, while the movie was playing, and tried to eat them. Threw the box under the seat after the first bite! DANG, didn't know they were suppposed to taste that bad! gagging, ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Yep! Lots of fun. Have only found about a dozen. but hope to get back on track with the fun soon. Might actually get one on the way to the DZ tomorrow (I've been eyeing it, but haven't taken the time to get out of the car and treck into the Ortega's). Have a friend, however, who's gone absolutely bananas with the game. He's found over 200 of them this past year! Always brings adventure stories with him to the DZ. His wife and 2 children love it too! They went out to a geocaching picnic and met with alot of other geocacher's in the area. Guess it kind of grows like another kind of family for those who are totally hooked. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Don't think so, but you can e-mail Jeanie at helmets@boneheadcomposites.com and ask. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Looking back to 1997 when I was in Utti, there were two s/l instructors there. Mika Paavolainen and Hessu (don't remember his last name right now). I have one of their boogie posters hanging here in my office. The one from 10-7-1995. They were cool enough to sign it for me! One thing that struck me about your wonderful dz was the fact (at that time) the instructors were paid in jumps, not money...(they got to jump from full altitude after their students left, if they wanted to). They said it was the way they gave back to the sport. Wonderful country! Great people! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Have a z-bracket on my daBomb helmet. It works great and does not get in the way of the video camera. Think about it, the camera hangs upside down in front of your forehead! Sighting of the still camera is the challenge here, though. I used a laser light to match up the sighting between the two cameras and it works great now. Yes, it is a bit front heavy (compared to not having the still mounted there) but as mentioned before you get used to it easily. No problem. One little input that I notice when flying just my video camera (when I leave the still off) is that I can feel a little bit of push from the front of the z-bracket if I don't have my face looking straight down (filming from above like in 4-way training). Just a little annoyance, but it's no biggie. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Try Wind Tunnels Worldwide. I see a couple listed in Germany. If you go to either of these it'd be great to get feedback on this web page to update it. Have fun! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Tandem to S/L progression. Didn't have an instructor in the air with me (after the tandems) until after I'd been cleared to solo status! And then it was only to get my RW skills checked off for my 'A' license. Looking back now, I shutter a bit. That HUGE student rig weighed -almost- as much as me!! It -wanted- to flip me over on my back and only the training on the ground how to ARCH!!! kept me stable during my freefall progresssion. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Everybody's physically fine. The tears were real, though. We all made sure they had clothes and essentials before they left. The wife's mom lives somewhere close, so that's good. They were getting offers left and right to come and stay with anyone there on the block. I'm so lucky to be in a quiet neighborhood that looks out for each other so well. Someone once called it a "Leave it to Beaver" block. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Sorry to read this. Please allow plenty of time for all the ambers to go out before cleaning out the fireplace. When we lived in New England, we usually waited several weeks before we shoveled out the ash to clean the fireplace. Yes! And to top it off, this man of the family is a hunter and had alot of ammunition in the garage! They got that out of the house in a hurry!! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Hope they did, too! They are renters and the home owner lives in Oregon. We're in CA. Wonder how many renters carry renter's insurance out there... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Spent most of the afternoon down the street at a neighbor's house. Well, -near- the neighbor's house. It went up in a wall of flame!! I'd gone outside to do yard work when the smell of smoke filled the air and fire engine sirens got louder and louder! Yikes! Seems my neighbor had been cleaning out the fireplace and something got out of hand. Sucks big-time as the weather outside is bitter cold, too. It was neat to see the whole neighborhood, however, come together and lend a hand as they could. The men helping with what they could, and the women tending to the kids and mom's needs. They lost the whole house and everything in it. Makes me very thankful to be sitting here in my warm house right now. Roof overhead and a cup of cocoa in front of me. Ya'll be careful out there this winter season. Love ya'll. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Saweeeett!! I just forked over the $29 for another video need last week and am learning the new features Pro gives. Sorry, Bill, that I didn't have this simple answer when you asked me about this yesterday at the DZ. Now we -both- know!

I use prescription goggles, had them frost over on a big-way skydive, threw at 2,000', had a spinning mal, recognized the feel and cutaway with just enough altitude to open land my reserve safely. Was my first reserve ride to really completely unnerve me. Breaking the cycle of events, somewhere, can be the factor that saves a life. Wasn't there a few 300-way record holders that either ripped off their visors, or their helmets, on the dive that frosted many of their visors? Are there any other methods to prevent frosted lenses/goggles, besides waiting for warmer temperatures? (don't know, here, as most of my jumps are in warm, sunny SoCal). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Actually, I loved Finland the summer I visited for the World Games (first year skydiving was on the menu). Of course, that summer was the best (and warmest)one they'd had in years, the locals said! Say 'hi' to my friends at the Utti DZ for me, k?

Hey! Just might be the ticket for me as well if your trio is there!

Was loaned the book on tape this past month. Read by Douglas Adams himself! What a trip! And the way the author interprets his own writing is like hearing Mozart himself playing one of his pieces for all to enjoy! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
